Read online that some people got $10 off for 6 months.

I logged in and checked my billing. No mention of a change from the $40 I'm currently paying. The day it becomes $50 I'm cancelling.

      Re: Cord cutting

The main thing I miss about Satellite is having numbered channels. I know I can categorize and make a favorite's list, but there was something simple about turning on the TV and knowing a game was on ESPN and all I had to do was press 1-4-0.

I hate that these prices keep going up...it's making it slightly tougher to want to cut if you're paying extra for no data cap internet. You can save some money each month, but it's not as "easy" as having cable either, so pros/cons.

So I’m terms of actually cutting the cord, can we discuss all the IPTV options that are out there using android boxes and firesticks?
          Or is that taboo here?
The really good ones require a monthly subscription and all of them offer free trials.
          I’m paying 20 bucks a month with 3 connections.

                It’s legal.
At least it is in Canada.
You are streaming, not downloading and more importantly not uploading, meaning you are not sharing.
And I have the same thing. I pay 20 Canadian and get everything in 1080p too I may add.
I pay a monthly subscription for it. IPTV is everywhere these days.
This is actual cord cutting. Not getting screwed over by Hulu, PSVue or any other service.
Just go into Facebook and the services are right there .

You can't even get premium channels that cheap directly from the channel.

You can think it is legal all you want, but you are paying someone else to upload the channel for you. They are then getting paid multiple times for. These are all being uploaded and streamed from a foreign country for reason.

IPTV isn't illegal on its own, it's the package that you are buying that isn't legal.

They were sued last year some of the reviews I saw said the site is down but my co-worker still has access. Of course the price is insane and the providers of this stuff can't possibly condone or allow it.

Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
                          Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....

I hate that a lot of these companies aren't including Nickelodean anymore or they will have Disney, but not Disney Junior with them.

I wouldn't have cared a few years ago when I didn't have kids and besides sports those are the most important for us. Our kids would use DVDs for shows not on Netflix and be fine, but it's not as convenient. Directv Now has a lot of on-demand stuff as well. When I type it out it sounds like they watch a lot of TV, but they don't... 2yo is serious about some Paw Patrol and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse though.

I also hated how slow and sluggish the menus were for Directv Now, but I just mounted a 65" Roku TV and the app works so much faster on that thing.
