Wow, just did the same, I have fios, I'm keeping my GB connection and went with youtube TV as well through verizon, only thing I cared about was making sure I had my SNY which YTV has. Cant be without my Mets channel. I will miss MSG, but I have other options to watch the knicks and islanders.

I have a bunch of discounts still, I also have Verizon wireless so get a $10 discount on my wireless and fios for having both.

I went from paying $185 a month to $130. My GB connect alone is what's expensive, once you go GB you just cant go back to anything less IMO. I have so many other streaming services that I just dont need the cable anymore. I'm happy with what I did.

If anyone has YoutubeTV and you have FOX Sports regional channels (if they are owned by Sinclair), then they will be pulled from YouTube TV on Saturday.

Just got an email that states:


"Hi there,

Our goal with YouTube TV is to offer you the content you love, delivered the way you want.

To make this happen, we need to enter into deals with our partners. Unfortunately, we have been unable to reach an agreement with Sinclair to continue to carry the FOX Regional Sports Networks and YES Network.
Starting February 29, 2020, you will no longer be able to watch live, on demand, or recorded content from your local FOX Regional Sports Network or YES Network.

Please know that we do not take this decision lightly. We value your membership and will continue to strive to build the best streaming experience possible.

Sincerely,
The YouTube TV team"

As someone who uses YouTube TV to watch FOX Sports regional channels (college games and the Carolina Hurricanes) this is a huge hit.

May have to look at changing to another service. I really love YouTube TV but if they aren't going to have those then I really don't know if I can go with them anymore.

Anyone have any other streaming service suggestions? Anyone have Hulu Live TV and like it?

luckly i think im outside of the sinclair network but that sux for sports. psvue basically gifted youttv a ton of subscibers after shutting down and they are already scaling back. Does anyone know if they get be gettin the nfl network next year?

Yup had youtube tv for like 2 weeks now and then get this news, so now I got to find something else once baseball season starts. Probably keep it till then and then switch to Hulu

I have had both and the only major difference aside from the DVR capability was the fact that Hulu did not have MLB Network. I don't have either anymore. Ready to go full a la carte on some of these sports channels. Would love to get Yes down here in NC being from up North but no way can I see it.

They are back! At least temporarily. So hopefully we can get a longer deal soon.

That’s great news. I’m sure the response pushed both companies to keep working on something. I imagine it’s a pretty significant portion of people who would be affected, especially with NBA and NHL season coming to playoff time and MLB beginning.

I’m in an NBCSN area so wouldn’t have hurt me much, but glad to see it as YTTV is my first choice when finally jumping on the streaming train.

As for alternate options, FuboTV bills themselves as the sports streaming option. Not sure how popular they are in comparison to YTTV, who seems to be the leader in that area at the moment.

Had no idea you could use a vpn with the Firestick. Should have went this route instead of a chromecast. Pain in the *** not being able to use Hulu or Disney plus without connecting my computer to the tv.
