Question for the internet tech guys

    Hi guys

For the last few days I have been having spotty internet speeds. At first I thought it might be just a one off thing but over the weekend it came more apparent that it was something else. I called my isp and they said they see a problme with a noise to signal ratio? What does this mean exactly? There sending out a tech tomorrow when the wife is home but I'm back to work.

We were having issue back in September but you could see there was a problem with the cable signal as when the tv would get choppy the internet would also show offline on the modem.

The thing Is it will be fine for a ungiven amount of time then lose the signal and show offline on the modem

Any advice would be great as I'm not a tech guy anymore, knew a bit when I was younger but am lost now

This means there is likely an unshielded aspect to your cable that is causing intermittent issues that you describe. To be blunt, it is likely their problem and (hopefully) a problem that they can fix once they come out so I wouldn't worry too much about it to be honest.
