Watching sports with out dish or DIRECTV?

Does any one have NBA league Pass or NFL sunday ticket or NHL centeral ice? Can you record games even with out having dish, or DIRECTV tv? Like if you just have internet? I am wondering because unfortunately the way i am going to be facing in the low incom apartments tends to have trouble picking up dish and if i cant have dish or derect tv or something then i need to find a way to be able to watch sports has 90% of the time i am watching tv i am watching sports and i dont think cable has dvr like dish or DIRECTV tv does and on top of that i think cable tends to cost more. Trying to find out what my options are when it comes to be able to watch and record sports. Also don't you not get Nationally TV games with NBA league pass? If so that is a big problem with playoffs has just about ever game in the playoffs is on either TNT or ESPN.

Don't know much about PS VUE. Sling TV I had never heard of in till like a year ago and DirecTV now I only heard about a few days ago and have no idea what it even is. Do any cable company's have DVR's now days? I found out a few years back to when my dvd record brook that they don't really make dvd records any more.

Every company has DVR, pretty much. PS Vue isn't traditional as it's limited, but it keeps up to 28 hours worth of shows for up to 2 weeks.

I have Vue and I love it. I'm never planning to go back to cable/satellite.

While I didn't know that like ever one has DVR now I just know it used to be more limited and that they don't really make dvd recorders any more. I was looking at PS VUE but looks like it is only in bigger city's and where I live is a small town and looks like you cant get it. Just trying to find a option and I think the cheapest for like internet and tv is like $100 and even that is a lot has I don't make a lot of money and with the other bills and even being in a low income apartment I am going to have a hard time making the bills ever month. Man being a grown up sucks.

I think you are going to want to look into streaming services if you mentioned those packages. NHL.TV and NBA League Pass. You can't get those packages without a cable or satellite subscription. Vue, etc. will do you no good there.

If you have Vue, you get the ESPN channels and you can use Watch ESPN. And depending on where you are, you are likely to get your local sports channels to see those teams. Even though I don't get all of my local sports channels (just FS North and Comcast Chicago), the Fox Sports Go app broadcasts anything I would get on FS Midwest so it works just the same.

The bigger cities is only for local channels. As long as you have access to internet that's fast enough to stream, Vue will work. If you want local channels, you'll have to get a digital antenna (one time $30 cost).

I don't think that is true because when I did a search with my area code to see a list of stations nothing came out. While it doesn't matter now any way. I got into the apartment on sat still have a few things to unpack but I ended up getting Comcast internet and tv today. I spent like the whole day trying to get it set up has it would only work with one and was having trouble using a splitter but now it works. Going to cost me about 110 a month for tv and internet and I get the stations I need.

Probably because you need a zip code and not a area code. What your zip?

I've looked up zip codes in remote places in Mississippi, Texas, and Montana and they all had PS Vue plans.
