Man this is unreal. Feel so bad for that family right now. Just back to back gut punches.

Had a feeling she be next. She is up there in age. Sad day for the family. I wonder if they have a mother and daughter funeral?

Carrie always joked that her mother had a tendency to "upstage" her throughout her life. I'm sure they're laughing about it right now.

          RIP.

Utterly shocked. I can't even begin to imagine how devastated the family is.

Her last words according to her son: "I miss her so much. I want to be with Carrie." She had a stroke 15 minutes later.

              Haunting.

I had no idea that Debbie Reynolds was even Carrie Fishers mom until like 2 days ago, now this all happens!

Only thing I ever really got to see her(Debbie) in was those Halloweentown movies. Was nice annual tradition to watch during Halloween. Sad now to hear this news, probably won't sink in as much until next October when I watch those movies again.

Talk about dying of a broken heart. I remember hearing a story in news a few years back of an old married couple dying within a few minutes I think it was, but I can't remember last time it's happened like this with two related celebs.

Broken heart definitely must have done it for her. That can't be a coincidence (at least, the stress that put it on her).

As a parent who has lost a child, I can definitely attest to the difficulty of getting thru it. Being older and already having health issues certainly did not help. But there are/were times that I certainly wanted to be with my daughter more than I wanted to be alive and if I had health issues on top of it would have been very easy to let go.

Thoughts and prayers with the family they will both be missed very much. Its interesting how these passings have touched our family. While I was saddened by Carrie Fisher passing, my Mother was more affected by Debbie Reynolds.

Yeah, that is definitely a case of dying of a broken heart. This is such a tragedy. I can't imagine how the family is reacting to all this.

What a tragic postscript I have to add here.

Fisher's autopsy revealed she had a cocktail of drugs in her system including Cocaine, Heroin and Ecstasy. That's just sad to hear considering it seemed like she had beaten most of her demons. The autopsy doesn't reveal if all those drugs contributed to her death but they sure couldn't help.

Yeah it's very sad to hear for sure. I believe it had to have some effect contributing to her death.
