    Legion (FX)

Anyone watch this? Not really a comic book person, but thought the first episode was pretty good. Trippy. Interesting.

It hasn't shown out here yet, but I'm definitely interested. Looked really cool

EDIT: Just finished it and you weren't kidding about it being trippy. It was kind of difficult for me to keep up with the story, but I liked it. I'll definitely keep watching.

Yeah, I was confused as hell for awhile. I was never disinterested though.

Pretty different from the rest of the oversaturated hero genre which is probably why I enjoyed it as much as I did.

It's from the show runner for Fargo, so I anticipate a good ride.

I paid zero attention to this series until Monday after reading an article about it.

I'm sure glad I started following it. That pilot episode was really good.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

the last 15 minutes was some awesome superheroing. Great escape scene. One of the best i've seen, and that includes a lot of the movies out there.

Being on FX limits the exposure and ratings potential, but I hope that this show does well and gets critical acclaim, so that we can get more X-character TV shows.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Hoping we get a view of some of the pilot scenes from another perspective.

I also wonder if they'd be willing to do an entire season on a civil war in his head and then 'surprise, now here he is in the real world' in season 2.

              Fun pilot, good stuff.

The Syd Barrett thing caught my attention on Twitter and then I read about how it was from Pink Floyd (I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan) so I had to watch, pretty awesome I think and the Syd Barrett/Pink Floyd connection with it being a total trippy experience is a home run.

I heard this show has a ton of Pink Floyd references and I know a lot about Pink Floyd so that is one thing I'm on the lookout for too...don't think my wife cared for it too much but she doesn't much like the 'weird" stuff in that vein (is it in his head, is it real, is it demonic, supernatural, mental illness, etc??) as much as I do..

Another trippy episode. It's really difficult to follow what's going on, but I'm enjoying trying to figure it out so far. Hopefully it starts to make more sense with what's going on with these memories/flashbacks/whatever else.

Some context for the non-comic folks.

I know who his dad is supposed to be because I read the wiki about the character.

But ignoring that being the reason the face is blocked, I keep feeling like the memory isn't his but someone else's. That's probably not right.

I think that whole memory was co-opted by one of his other personalities.

Yeah this is what I was thinking but I couldn't remember if the show explained he has other personalities.

I guess the schizophrenia was mentioned.
