I really thought this too, to the point that my heart nearly skipped a beat when Mountain grabbed his sword.

I hope not. I just hope that was to illustrate the gravity of them getting together without just gratuitously showing it for the duration of the reveal rather than the juxtaposition of allegiances as Jamie makes his decision.

I really hope Tyrion hasn't flipped and knows of the betrayal.

Man........just so much information and suspense man. Ugh I don't know if I can wait tell next year even though I think they did a good job of not leaving us completely hanging.

Totally thought Cersi was going to have Jamie killed. I was like noooooooooo!!!! Then he just walked by and I was like wtf just happened lol.

Also the Stark sisters getting Littlefinger. So damn gratifying. I was hoping that's how it would play out and it was perfection in my opinion.

Then the Bran/Sam convo where they both filled in the pieces. Awesome.

And of course the mother****ing Ice Dragon man. Are you kidding me. These dudes look unstoppable man. I just don't know. So good.

Team Ice looks unstoppable, a dragon and a couple giants. That was beautiful scene having the dragon melt the wall.

What was up with Tyrion learking around outside Dany's room? Jealous? Worried?

Also we find out Jon's real name is Aegon Targaryan, which I thought one of Rhaegar's original children was already named Aegon. Maybe someone can clear that up.

Arya with the quick death on Littlefinger was so satisfying. I knew they wouldn't split them up.

Great season, couldn't be happier with it.

I hope the rumors aren't true that the last season might not air until 2019.

Production time and cost?
No idea.
But I felt like the first five episodes were filler and could have been condensed to 1 or 2 episodes.
The last two were spectacular.

They're obviously milking this cow dry. I feel like they could have wrapped up the series if everyone episode was as meaningful as the last two.

The finale was really good. My quick-hit thoughts.

-Great finish to the Sansa, Arya, Littlefinger drama.

-Cersai is ruthless. Glad she didn't follow through and have Jaime killed.

-Great scenes at the meeting between Cersai and Tyrion and Brienne and the Hound.

-Jon Snow is a much better name than Aegon Targaryen.

-Can't wait until Jon finds out the truth.

-It bummed me out seeing undead Viserion.

-Winter has come. I'm worried for Sansa and Arya at Winterfell.

It'd be a real shame if Jon never found out the truth. I feel like there would really only be 4 tragic deaths in this show: Jamie, Tyrion, Daenerys and Jon. Everyone else is expendable. In the end I suppose as long as Daenerys is around long enough to birth a prince from fire and ice prophecy and Cersei lives long enough to die giving birth to a stillborn dwarf, then it's all good.

And then the wheel keeps spinning.

I think origianlly this was going to be the last season. They then split it up and added 3 more episode to make it 13 for the last 2 seasons. Able to give a bigger budget per episode.

You are correct there was another Aegon, but I believe when Jon was conceived the first Aegon was killed (I think). Either way yes, there are two Aegons.
