One of my favorite things about this season is seeing the reaction by people who knew Bran before the 3rd eyed raven stuff and then seeing him now.

What was up with Tyrion learking around outside Dany's room? Jealous? Worried?

Also we find out Jon's real name is Aegon Targaryan, which I thought one of Rhaegar's original children was already named Aegon. Maybe someone can clear that up.

Arya with the quick death on Littlefinger was so satisfying. I knew they wouldn't split them up.

Great season, couldn't be happier with it.

I hope the rumors aren't true that the last season might not air until 2019.

Yeah, I'm not a fan at all of anything down that line of thinking. Only way I see Tyrion flipping sides is if he didn't realize Jaime had left Cersei, or perhaps he thinks he can steer Cersei the way he has Daenerys for the greater good of the kingdom.

Certainly opportunity for shenanigans the way we didn't see the conclusion of their chat, and with how relatively shallow the writing has been in a way it probably becomes the more probable conclusion.

Re: Aegon. You guys are mixing the TV and the books. In the Books Aegon was sprinted away from Westeros by Varys and has been raised by Jon Carrington since the sacking of Kings Landing.

Not much Aegon in the show except for Aemon's little brother... Egg.

Not much new to add other than what's already been said. Enjoyed the season and the finale was great...especially Littlefinger's end and Cerci's confrontations with her brothers.

Quick question that has bugging the hell out of me.

If the white walkers/the dead cannot swim.
How the heck did they swim to the bottom of a deep frozen lake.
Tie chain around a huge dragon.
Then pull it out of the lake????

Just a guess but a handful went in the lake, sunk and tied the chain to the dragon, and the others on the surface pulled the dragon up. The ones that went into the water are probably still there.

I still have no idea how big the map is.

Last ep when they were planning their strategy someone, I think Tyrion, said that the Dothraki could get to the Wall in one fortnight aka 14 days but it seems like it took Sam longer to get there. Granted I know he isn't riding hard but still, my sense of time and space is all jacked up with this show.

I'll be very impressed if they can wrap up the story and the characters arcs in a coherent fashion in the six remaining episodes.

That's one of the reasons why I was surprised how few characters of note died this season. It seems like there is too many left to wrap up their tales in six episodes.

                      I hope I'm wrong.

Should be easy if we're getting hour and a half episodes in two years.

I guess it will be easy if the White Walkers simply kill everyone. That should take like one hour. LOL.

I'll say this, the pacing has detracted from developing of dialogue and story lines.

For example, why has Bran who has shown such power, taken so long to discover and decipher that Jon and Daenerys are related? The writers held on to this like it was some deep dark secret, even though this was technically revealed at the end of season 6, and made very clear.

In addition, Littlefinger, whom through 7 seasons has accounted for every possible twist and turn was unable to see that Arya and Sansa were playing him, or at least prepare for that possibility. Felt very forced to me.

Because until Sam said something the lie that Layanna was kidnapped and raped by Rheagar had never been disputed by anyone. All Bran saw at the end of season 6 was his aunt give birth to his uncle Jon not his brother. So he had no reason to really be digging into that when he and Jon have the pressing issue of the Night King to worry about.

I mean from a perspective of who really knew it was a deep dark secret. The only living people who could possible know were Eddard Stark and maybe Howland Reed, if Ned told him. If Robert had ever found out he would've either killed Jon or started a war with Ned and the north.
