Well, if you don't try to do that then you get guys bitchin' in a forum talkin' about the same old formula. Gotta do something! And now that I think of it, I'm wondering if the bowling alley scene is in part a tribute to "The Big Lebowski"....with a twist of course.

Also, finally figured out why Varga grew on me as the series went on. He could be a cousin to BrickTop from Snatched:

      Re: Fargo (Season 3)

The opening scene of this last episode was excellent.

Speaking of opening scenes, the opening scene of the season is now a little bit related since we know the wolf hitman is Yuri Gurka
      Chicago Cubs
      Michigan Wolverines

      Thanks Peyton. #18

If you are talking about the scene at the bowling alley bar, google The Wandering Jew. If you need more help, check out a good review site.

No not necessarily. That was actually pretty understandable, haha.

I actually had to look that up. I'm thoroughly enjoying this season but as to the weird stuff, I'm torn between whether they should go full throttle or continue to mystify it.

Lots of funny lines in this last episode.

And the hotel scene was magnificent.

See, the show doesn't have to be totally incomprehensible just to be great. I'd argue that was the best episode of the year thus far.

                  Wasn't crazy about the finale.

Thought this season was veeerrrrryyyy sllllooooooowwwww. However the last 3ish episodes were pretty good. Season 1 was better, season 2 was way better. Still better than 99% of TV though.

1 - 3 - 2 for me, but 3 and 2 were very close. I still have some holes to fill, especially how the first episodes opening relates to this season. I'm definitely gonna go back and watch the whole thing over again.

I did like the "call back" to the ending scene with BB Thornton from season one.

I think the actress who played Gloria is going to be in a movie with Holly Hunter coming up...she's solid.

'honestly, this was my favorite season. I'd rank them 3 > 2 > 1, with 3 and 2 close, and 1 as a fantastic season itself.

Just a fantastic finale. Was surprised by the Goldfarb reveal, and loved it. Mary McDonnell is awesome, and this seemed like she had a blast in this little role.

Nikki's final story arc in these last two episodes was badass and perfect.

Just a great story from start to finish, with some great touches of weirdness.

Perfect? Dead with a cop's blood on her hands? She should have gone out better or not at all.

Eh..It's like when I find out about Goldfarb, I wasn't expecting it, but maybe I should have. I didn't fall out of my chair when a little used character was made the boss.

The Gloria/Varga showdown at the end didn't do it for me. Fill in the blank endings I can mostly do without.

Maybe I missed it, but I don't recall any specific reference to Fargo this season....I understand that Lorne Malvo essentially wiped them out in season 1, but was the deaf hitman the only connection to the old organized crime?
