Marvel's Defenders (Netflix Original Series)

This may be my most anticipated show or movie ever!

I'm (I think) 4 episodes in to Iron Fist and I really like the Danny Rand character. I'm not as familiar with him in the comics as I am Luke and Matt but really like his whole always zen, super sweet/kind, a bit airheaded persona. I think he will bring a different more lightheaded element to a Defenders team full of darker, grittier characters.

I'm excited to finish just so I can start speculating how Defenders Season 1 will go. It's only slated for 8 episodes.

I'm guessing the season will mostly focus on the four of them coming together and becoming a team and they probably won't become the Defenders until the last episode.

I think Defenders Season 2 (if we get one and I'm already hoping we do) will be the first time we see the 4 of them as an established team. At that point I'm guessing the team could expand to include the Daughters of the Dragon and/or Hellcat.

Anyone else as excited for this as I am?

I'm super exited, for me I expected it to be better than the cinematic stuff like Justice League and Avengers. So much more room to breath and better storytelling. There only being 8 episodes is kicking me in the gut though. I can think of so many different storylines that could easily fill the extra time without being called "filler"(I hate that label).

Cool thing about this is that the whole 'They're so different, but find a way to work together' thing doesn't have to be rushed and forced...we know just how different these characters are...We've had entire seasons of them to lay it out..

Glad to see that its coming out this year.

I hope future seasons of the each individual will have more hero crossover. Thought they should have at least one appearance by one other hero in Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

Can't wait for Jessica Jones to throw Iron Fist at someone.

Looks pretty good. I still need to catch up on Iron Fist, but I'm watching a crap load of TV right now, so it's going to be tough to fit in. Hopefully, I'll get a break once the NBA Playoffs end.

Largely with ya there. Ya know, I've "complained" about miscasting superhero characters and I don't think any different about the Rand character. I bailed on this series earlier than the Luke Cage series. Hard to tell about the chemistry factor here from this trailer. I guess we'll have to see how the story develops.
