    Re: 2017-2018 TV Season

Summer schedule wise, Big Brother,Zoo and maybe Celebrity Family Feud/Battle of the Network Stars I'll watch(depending which stars are on both shows). Might check out American Ninja Warrior simply because someone from one of the shows I watch might be on it. Other than that, no interest in other shows there.

Fall wise, only 1 network tv show I watch got cancelled which is good because 2 others were on the bubble but both got renewed. From early look at the new shows, not many seem so interesting. In terms of superhero type shows, FOX has The Gifted, ABC with Inhumans and CW with Black Lightning. I'm not to sure about how Foxs show will be, but CWs one hopefully is as good as their others, and despite the poor costume design from the Inhumans poster, hopefully that can end up being even half as good as Agents of Shield. Though if Shield will last longer because Inhumans is a flop, I'd take that.

Young Sheldon, Black Lightning, probably Inhumans are ones I'll check out. Might think about The Gifted as well.

I want to see Edie Falco again, just not excited about her playing the lawyer for the Menedez brothers.

Apart from Big Brother, Zoo and The F Word, not much summertime tv viewing for me. My Monday nights will be free as my wife will be watching The Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise rubbish.

For the fall, every one of our shows is returning except The Catch. I'll be checking out new shows, The Gifted, Inhumans and Black Lightning (I wonder if CTV in Canada will pick this up or perhaps Showcase?). I can add The CW to my tv package but haven't had to thus far since all the other superhero shows are available to me already.

It sucks how CW isn't available in HD here unless you pay specifically for that HD channel, but CW in standard definition is available with cable packages.

Hopefully the Canadian schedules aren't too crazy. Past few years they seem to mess up schedules alot and just shifting shows from channel to channel. Sometimes a show might air on CTV, then suddenly it's on CTV2. It messes up my DVR recordings.

Really interested in Good Girls (Mae Whitman-Parenthood and Retta-Parks & Recreation). It is apparently a- comedy-infused drama, described as mix of Thelma & Louise with Breaking Bad, follows three struggling suburban moms, who decide to rob a local supermarket with a toy gun. But when one of them is spotted by the store’s manager, and the haul is more than they bargained for, they realize getting away with it will be much harder than they expected.*

Add The Odd Couple to list of shows CBS is cancelling. 3 shows from their Monday 9-10 lineup got cancelled. Superior Donuts is the only one that's staying.

Unrelated note because I don't watch Odd Couple or anything, but overall 3 network/cable tv shows I watch have all been cancelled! Once other networks release their schedules, I might have to start thinking about creating my own tv schedule. Be a day or two behind on every show I watch so I can just jam all of them in a fewer day span since the amount of shows I have to watch is getting smaller and smaller.

24 has been shelved for the time being because Corey Hawkins is commited to a Broadway play and doesn't have enough time to film.

Apparently they wanted it back for fall.

That seems odd. You think they would have signed someone on who could commit to multiple seasons, and it be in the contract.

Had a couple of my shows get cancelled, and then one get revived days after being cancelled (Timeless).

Glad to see Superstore survived. Not sure how the ratings are, but even in season 1 I was prepared for it to be cancelled pretty early. They can clean some things up, but the cutaways to random happening in the store are so freaking hilarious every time.

The Orville on Fox looks hilarious. Not always a fan of Seth MacFarlane (I can like him but not everything he does is awesome), but the trailer was killer. Looks like a great Star Trek spoof, maybe in the vein of Galaxy Quest (but not with them being actors, just the show aspect)

Timeless got un-canceled, gets 10 ep spring 2018 season...Better than nothing! That is a cool show IMO.

Also, has X-Files been given a date yet?

Missed this when you mentioned Timeless. So glad it's back (10 eps, but still)

Superstore is hilarious. I expected it to die young, but sticking around it's just similar to "The Office" as a comedy, vs. most of what's there nowadays. Characters fun, outlandish sure, but I always want to see what happens next. Glad shows like this have a shot at least, must be cheap to make and syndication could be valuable.

Now that Timeless got a revival, I think the only show I really cared about that I lost was Last Man Standing. I did enjoy The Odd Couple but I don't think I'll miss it. My new shows this year survived, Speechless and Lethal Weapon. I guess I'm glad that Kevin Can Wait, Man With a Plan, and Superior Donuts made it but they are all in the same level of interest that The Odd Couple was. I liked the Good Place too, so I'm glad it is coming back although I didn't really like the twist at the end of the season. Sitcoms are my favorite, so it is good they made it though.

Since Taken was renewed, I am going to watch that show, I have it on my DVR.
