The Foreigner (Jackie Chan, Pierce Brosnon)

Wow, can't wait to see this. Jackie in a much darker role than we are used to seeing. Directed by Martin Campbell who directed Casino Royale.

I still can't believe he does all his stunts at this age, especially that one off the roof.

He needs a good movie. His last one with Johnny Knoxville sucked balls. Pierce is still bringin' it too.

Whoa! This looks like a fantastic film. Jackie did some dramatic work sporadically in the past but nothing that looks this dark and against type. Even some of his more dramatic stuff in the Asian market had comedic moments. This however, looks to be very dramatic and action packed. I will have to see this flick.

Oh wow. This looks pretty interesting.

Side note, how old is Jackie now? Feels like he's been around forever.

He's 63 years old. I don't think he will be doing all the stunts in the film, that's just impossible but he's the greatest action movie star of all time to me just for the fact he does most of them for over 4 decades and they are amazing stunts.

His early Hong Kong stuff are classics.

He doesn't do all of his own stunts anymore.
I just read an article about it a few days ago.
He said it kills him that he cant do them all anymore but he still loves setting them all up and coming up with new things.

Has Jackie ever directed a movie before? I think at least when it comes to action movies he'd be very good at it.

Five early reviews put it at 80%.

The thing that stands out though is the 5.5/10 average score. I know this is only five reviews, but I think this film will have the David Eckstein "just enough" effect.

Still interested in seeing it. I have only caught the first trailer so far.

I'm all in regardless of any reviews, positive or negative. This film is Jackie Chan's "Taken" heh, I gotta see it. Love him in a somber, hardcore film every now and again.

His fighting style is so surroundings adaptable, yet kinda comical. Gotta see the choreography of his fighting in a darker, more serious setting. It ought to be amazing, a performance for the ages.

I agree, no matter what the reviews may be I think this is the kind of film that Chan needs. It adds some grit and seriousness to his persona that's been missing for almost the entirety of his career. (Definitely in North America for sure)

Just watched this tonight with the wife. I knew after seeing the previews I'd enjoy this but damn this was a great political thriller. Had enough action but wasn't over done at all and the fighting was much more realistic compared to most Jackie Chan movies. Chan and Brosnon both killed it in their respective roles. But Chan as the broken man after losing everything........damn. He nailed it. This movie rocked. Recommend to everyone. Anybody else see this yet?
