Finally saw this. It was pretty good; not even close to the slapsticky Ragnarok, even for Thor's character. I have lots of questions that I'll be seeking answers for, though. Time to start reading this thread.

Didn't Comcast make an offer? Or is it more locked into Disney now? I haven't seen any recent updates....I really hope Disney/Marvel get them back though.

Disney/Marvel is going to get the characters regardless it's just that it happens faster if they can buy Fox. If Comcast buys Fox then it could take years for Disney/Marvel to fully get the characters back...which at first seemed weird to me but Comcast can hold things up in court and paper work.

Disney/Marvel is going to get the characters regardless it's just that it happens faster if they can buy Fox. If Comcast buys Fox then it could take years for Disney/Marvel to fully get the characters back...which at first seemed weird to me but Comcast can hold things up in court and paper work.

Ahhh, is it something where Fox can't sell the rights to someone else? but it'll be annoying legal battles as it reverts to Marvel or similar?

Good to hear they'll get them either way...makes more sense for Fox to go to Disney anyways, but who knows there.

Comcast has officially submitted its bid to Fox, officially outbidding Disney. Comcast is offering an all-cash bid of $65 billion to compete against Disney’s $52.4 billion all-stock offer. Insiders believe that Disney will ultimately win this bidding war as they have the means to add cash to their offer to surpass Comcast’s bid. Disney has apparently been preparing for this and is “lining up the financing to offer significant cash to the seal the deal with Fox.”

With Disney possibly set to purchase Fox Studios, Deadpool is closer than ever to becoming an official member of the Avengers (he's a card-carrying member in the comics)!

A fan went out and tweeted Ryan Reynolds a set image from The Avengers 4 featuring Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo in mo-cap as the Hulk--and none other than Deadpool!

"Is this real?" the fan asked about The Avengers 4 set image.

Disney is currently in a bidding war with Comcast over the purchase of Fox Studios, which includes Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool, the X-Men characters, Wolverine and the Fantastic Four. While Comcast has presently offered a higher amount, it's now being speculated that Disney and Comcast may actually split the Fox Studios assets, with Disney getting the movie side of things.

If everything goes according to plan, Disney will have the X-Men and Deadpool rights back next year by the end of Summer, so Ryan Reynolds could appear in the MCU or in another Avengers movie some time down the road.
