Shutting down in 2020.

I never realized Firefox stopped caring about it. That'd explain alot of issues I had, mostly with videos on sites like ESPN not working. Anyone know how to fix that since Flash support is done?

I had to cave and use Chrome. Opera I assume is a Chrome knockoff and takes some getting used to..... but I never did. Not sure if Edge runs on W7.

Opera a Chrome knockoff? Opera came out before Firefox/Chrome lol.

I actually used it for a short time too. I use firefox because I don't care about logging into my google account or anything so don't really care about Chrome. Been using Firefox for over a decade and don't care to change.

Opera is much older than Chrome, but it started using the chromium code base in 2013.

Flash had been following in the footsteps of Java recently. Lots of security holes, with the exploits it isn't worth keeping it on your PC unless you have sites or apps that need it.

I installed HTML5 to Firefox and disabled Flash, and while many pages like youtube,facebook and so on work, some like sports websites with those autoplay videos don't because I don't have Flash. What's the workaround for it?

I actually liked Opera a good bit but eventually everything went to Chrome. I was big on Firefox before those.

I honestly cannot remember the last time I used IE. My older brother was always pretty savvy so when he said hey I DL'ed this browser you should use it, I did. Win98 + FF ftw.

Also, Edge can take a step. I'll never use that.

The only way I know is you enable flash for that specific website. Flash will still be disabled globally but for that website it will work.

The main reason I wanted to disable flash is because on those websites that used it, it never worked. Site just got so slow until that screen pops up asking if I want to just close flash player or continue waiting.

When I was a web developer I used to cringe when people wanted a site done with Flash. Usually these folks were a good 5 years behind on technology too.
