    Jerry Lewis R.I.P.

Jerry Lewis has passed away at the age of 91. He was to some people a comedic genius (just ask the people of France!) or a miserable SOB who got away with acting like a complete and utter fool for most of his life.

I fall somewhere in the middle ground. You can't deny the greatness of his partnership with Dean Martin or the movies he made with director Frank Tashlin. Overall, Lewis' greatest contribution was The Nutty Professor. His greatest work of overall quality remains dark and incisive The King of Comedy. So you're looking to sample some of his work you can't go wrong with those two films as a starter.

With you here. I thought he was just OK but some of his stuff was better than that. Did a turn up on Wiseguy 30 years ago I think Glenn Frey was on that show as well. Did a lot of good work in his days. RIP funny man.

Frankly, I didn't find him funny but his contribution to society and charity was undeniable.

      RIP Jerry.

I like him a lot. Sure he was silly and goofy, but it was Jim Carrey like at the time. I thought the same of Charlie Callas as well (who I liked even more).

        This was pretty touching:
