    Remote Starter/Alarm

Hope this is in the right place but need a little help. I bought a Viper 5706 Remote Starter/Car Alarm from Best Buy and had it installed Sunday. Yesterday some wires had fallen and I noticed this when I was parked and put my foot on the emergency break. I called them and basically have an appointment for tomorrow at 1:15. Well today me and a few friends are going to lunch and my car wouldn't start, other friend who was driving jumped my car and it started right up and we went to lunch.

Hour later we heading back to work and had to be jumped again, then of course after worked it had to be jumped a 3rd time. After he jumped it heading back to work from lunch he said he was pretty sure I had a dead cell in the battery cause it wasn't holding a charge. I went to Advanced Auto for a test and told the person that helped me I had a remote starter/alarm installed Sunday. The drain test showed that 1.77A was being drained from the battery and maybe they don't have something hooked up right thats killed the battery.

I drive a 2014 Kia Optima, bought it last year early May, she said I should see if they reimburse me for the battery, I'm highly doubting they will do this. Thoughts on the situation cause I really want to go over there and go off, was really pissed today.

Here's a pic of the wires

I wouldn't think a 2 amp draw would drain your battery so fast that you would have to jump it so many times in 1 day, unless your battery was incredibly small. Car should be able to handle a 2 amp draw and not kill battery after only a hour or so. I've blasted my car stereo with the car off longer than that, and it draws way more than 1.77 amps.

That said a 1.77 amp draw when the car is turned off is definitely wrong, and there is something up with your electrical system.

I can't tell much from the picture, except they didn't do the best job on the install because there wires shouldn't have fallen down like that.

You get the issue sorted out?

Yeah I got it straightened out, actually it seems the battery was just dead and it's time to go. Bought a new one and had them get the wires secured correctly
