The Official 2017 Black Friday/Cyber Monday Thread

BF has kinda flown under the radar this year. bfads.net is one of many websites that has all of the major ads listed: Best Buy, Walmart , Target ,etc

First year in a long time, not even thinking about purchasing a tv. Only looking for a deal on select 4k blu rays and maybe a laptop that has Windows Office suite pre-loaded. And possibly a google home mini.

    What's on your list?

Not sure I got a new TV around this time last year and I don't buy new TV's that often. I am also good on video game consoles, 4k players. I may buy a few movies depending on price. I have been thinking about getting the 4k Spider-Man collection of the first 5 Spider-Man movies. I think I am also good on games already to.

Re: The Official 2017 Black Friday/Cyber Monday Thread

A lot of older movies I'm looking at aren't on sale at Best Buy, the most recent being Annabelle: Creation. I'll keep looking around for that one at other stores.

I've already purchased the following Blu-rays, and will re-purchase/price match them on BF:

      - Spider-Man: Homecoming
      - Wonder Woman
      - War for the Planet of the Apes
      - Baby Driver
      - The Big Sick
      - Gifted

I'm intent on also getting Transformers: The Last Knight in 3D. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it will be on sale. I'm just biting the bullet and paying full price for that one. Should've gotten it the first sale week, heavily assuming they wouldn't have reduced its price.

I'm back-and-forth on getting films I've already seen and thought were pretty good, such as The Accountant and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. I think if Transformers 3D was also on sale then I would have added them to the list.

I'm trying not to buy games around this time this year. Too many games backlogged that deserve their chance to shine. Only things I'd consider are PS+ renewal cards.

Considering buying a second acoustic guitar as well, but I think I'll hold off on that until I do more research.

This will probably be the first year in quite awhile that I don't even bother going out to try and snag any deals. Looking over the ads was underwhelming, there aren't really any games that I just have to have, I don't buy much in the way of movies anymore as I never get around to watching movies if I've already seen them, bought a KS8000 back in February so don't need a TV, won a laptop at my work so don't need that either. I'm half tempted to pick up that new Assassins Creed game but I'll just buy that online and avoid the crowds altogether, seems like a rather run of the mill ad this year.

If you're looking for blu rays (4k in particular), Best Buy is the best and only option.

I would really like a 65” or bigger 4K TV but Walmart is the only store near me since I moved to rural Oregon and none of their deals are super appealing. Any suggestions?

No. Doorbusters are usually on the cheaper models, so if you aren't looking for just the cheapest TV you can buy, the better quality TVs will be on sale for more $ off.

Plus the doorbusters at this point aren't going to save you much more than the normal on sale price.

Most places are selling their doorbusters online and there is always Amazon.

I currently have early access to doorbuster deals for Best Buy. Which TV are you looking for?

Do you know what time all deals go online for the normal people? My first year without Elite status in a while. I just want blu rays!

I assume on Thanksgiving day? Not entirely sure.

Based on the link I'm provided, you'd think only four Blu-rays are on sale right now, when really [almost] all of them are at their discounted price as listed in the ad if you search them up.

nothing wrong with cyber monday but other than a convenience store, you couldn't pay me enough to shop at other places on friday.
perfect day to put up the old aluminum pole, and take in the pitt-miami and ucf-usf games.
