Re: SEAL Team (CBS)
I've been wondering why there hasn't been a thread for this.
I'm like you. I don't watch a lot of tv. I have followed maybe 5 shows in the last 10 years, but I'm really hooked on Seal Team.
I think Jason and Ray both are interesting characters the have a good dynamic between them. It's also really interesting seeing Jason in his home life and all the conflict there.
The one thing I really don't like about the show though is the character Clay. -

I've been hooked on it. It's not "The Unit" good, but pretty good. Booth is good as a special operator.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 11-14-2017, 01:09 PM.Comment

I love how in depth each character get developed. Most shows or movies glorify the SEALs to the point I want to throw up. But this show shows their day to day lives with families at home and kids and just living a normal every day life. Last nights show with Ray getting hurt. It's just show even SEALs got to get paid. It's job. I've never been stuck to a show like this.

Re: SEAL Team (CBS)
Clay's cocky attitude was just annoying early one, and I still don't think that his daddy issues subplot makes a lot of sense. He's definitely matured with the show so far. His friend dying was really a turning point for his character. He still isn't my favorite, but I no longer hate his scenes.
I hadn't watched since about episode 6, but I spent this weekend catching up. Man this show is great. I love how we get to see the home lives of these characters. It really humanizes each one as we get to see more of that. I actually wish we got a little more of that, as it is a bit abrupt sometimes. Like Ep12 where we start off with Jason spending time with his family at the grocery store before a verbal bomb is dropped by his son. Then we get a little moment between him and Alana at the end which is cutoff before anything can happen.
It was fun binge watching this, and it sucks that I now have to wait until Wed. to get the next one.Comment

Re: SEAL Team (CBS)
Not sure how many people watch this. Season 1 was great in my opinion. I loved the action, the camaraderie, and each of the main characters had something appealing about them (even Clay whom I originally hated).
Season 2...I have some big concerns so far.
SpoilerSeason 1 ended on a big cliffhanger with Jason and his concussion. While they have made several mentions about his concussion through the first 2 episodes, it kind of feels like they are glossing over it. The first episode in S2 seemingly skips ahead several months. That was a bit disappointing.
I hate Clay as Bravo #2. It just doesn't make sense that he has gone from new guy to #2 so fast. Even though Sonny wouldn't have wanted the job, it just feels wrong.
Not a fan of Ray potentially leaving the team. He was one of the best parts of Season 1, and he was a good check to Jason. The 2 episodes so far have really missed him on the team.
Episode 2 Spoiler:
SpoilerAlana...I can't believe they are killing her off. Another one of the really intriguing things about the first season was how the team balanced their Tier 1 life with their home life. While maybe it allows them to play up more of the tension between Jason and Mandy I think it's an overall detriment to the drama of the show.Comment
