V was lame......but Rocky Balboa was a good one.

Anyway...Creed II was really good. Loved it!

I feel ashamed to admit I've only seen Rocky I all the way through. Bits and pieces of the remaining series have been absorbed throughout the years. Honestly, though, this series has done an amazing job of getting the viewer invested in Adonis and his journey no matter the degree of fandom for the original series. To me that is a feat in and of itself. Bravo for that alone.

I have to echo the posts above and say this was absolutely incredible. It definitely could have come off as corny and an oddball, but everything was handled seriously and reverently. I've never heard of the director before, but man he really stepped up to the plate and did Coogler proud. I was cheering and throwing punches with D at the end of the movie. Very surreal and I was not expecting the Dragos to be as nuanced as they were were especially with their limited range and screen time.

Stallone and Jordan continue to be absolutely phenomenal in this series and their chemistry together is fantastic. I am in awe that skinny-*** Wallace from The Wire is up in the spotlight and ****ing ripped like a fighting machine. Absolutely incredible. I can't wait to get the blu-ray and watch these movies again together.

I loved it. I think I liked the first Creed more, but I loved it. I loved the 2 fight Rocky 3 route. I loved how the first fight was a beat down, but ended in disqualification. I loved that they humanized the Drago's. I loved the opening scene. I loved that Ivan threw in the towel (though I think Drago should have been in more trouble when it was thrown. You can argue he didn't need to throw it). I loved the brigitte nielsen cameo. I loved Rocky's son cameo at the end (though I'm confused as to how there was such a great rift). I just loved it, man. I wish I was watching it again right now.

I read that they considered having Mr. T running the desert gym and that he may be in the third if there is one.

I really wish we got a Carl Weathers cameo. When Creed was knocked down during the second fight and you see the refs leg, I thought he was going to look up and see Dad telling him to get up. That would have been amazing.

I read that there were 2 omitted scenes that were FILMED so I'm hoping they show up on the blu ray. One is Rocky and Ivan getting physical at the hopital and the other is a scene after the second fight in the back between the Drago's and Rocky/Creed.

So will there be a Creed 3? It made big $$ but the end almost seemed like Rocky bowing out of the franchise and I can't imagine a story good enough to top this one. Like what opponent could top Drago? I'd almost rather see a Drago spin off next!!! What if we get a Drago spin off where Creed is retired and somehow he ends up mixed up with Drago and training him..

I really like Tessa Thompson, but I think they went a little overboard in spots. Like I thought her singing during his entrance was cringy. Probably just my take.

And why did the fight have to be in Russia? Like the Drago's said take it or leave it? They were the ones clamoring for a rematch.

The more I think about it, the more the relationship between Rocky and his son bothers me. In the first Creed it's revealed he's moved away to get out of his dads shadow, I mean the whole point of Rocky Balboa was him getting over that, but ok no big deal. But here it's revealed that they haven't spoken in like a decade? Rocky has never even met his grandson? His grandson apparently hasn't even ever seen a picture of him? wtf is that about? Just makes the son look like a douchebag if you ask me and there was no explanation as to why the relationship was that strained.

Really liked it. Glad they went Rocky 3 route but with a twist. Only thing that bothered me... why did Russians get to dictate terms of 2nd fight?

Agreed. When Baby Duke said the Drago's said "take it or leave it" I laughed. Really? They're the ones clamoring for a rematch. They shouldn't have gotten to dictate sh*t.

I almost wonder if they were toying with the idea there bc it was such a perfect setup. I still wish they'd at least use a brief Apollo voice over during like a Creed knock down or something. "GET UP!!!"

My late *** finally seen this and it exceeded my expectations for this, which were extremely high from the beginning.

I loved how they set the tone from the very beginning with Big Drago and Little Drago. They had them look like legit bad***ses with how they carried themselves. And when Viktor destroyed his opponent in his first fight and they went back to Ivan, that’s when I thought “Dawg, he’s bout to **** Baby Creed up”

And I swear every time Ivan appeared on screen, his presence got your attention immediately. He didn’t have to say a word and yet it was easy to see why his son loved him and rode for him as well. Definitely glad they went with this storyline and that he they brought him back.

Alright as for Creed’s first fight, I posted in early in this thread that I thought the sequel would be about Creed getting his payback on Wheeler after he got humbled in that sparring match at Lil Duke’s gym. Was good to see him beat Wheeler and win the Belt(Wheeler cooked him in the sparring session but looked overmatched in their title fight?)

Hated when Creed and Rocky split up for a sec even though I understood both of their positions with Creed wanting the fight and Rocky not wanting to have to go thru it at that time. Man, when they split up, my man Creed doesn’t hold his words back. Did the same thing in the first Creed after he got locked up and was doing the same thing outside Rock’s house.

Thought the promoter was a clown but again, I understood what he was trying to do. He reminded me of the promoter in Rocky V(aka the one nobody acknowledges because of how turrible it was).

When Creed was training in the desert with Lil Duke and Creed and that soundtrack was blaring...they had me wanting to get up and run up I-95 like I had a fight coming up, lol. I felt the same way when Creed was running thru North Philly in the first Creed)

Loved Drago’s entrance but Creed’s was meh. He could’ve done better than having his fiancé so his entrance. Definitely enjoyed the fight and overall, I loved the movie and might place it above the first one. Would def love to see a Cr3ed but I’m not sure where they can go next. Maybe fight Ricky Hanlan when he gets out of jail?

It made more than enough for a 3rd so you know it's coming. I think they need to branch out from the Rocky lore and have Creed challenged by 1 of the fighters in the 1st flick.
