Definitely agree with your last paragraph. I don’t think the end was bad or even necessarily disappointing, I just was kinda waiting for a real explosive moment and it never came. But the show was never about explosive moments so it fits. I also think they’d covered so much ground in the first couple epilogue episodes there wasn’t much to do in the finale but end it.

      SPOILERS AHEAD (not really):

Just finished this about 45 minutes ago. I have never been a big BB fan, I always thought it was alright, but not something I would put in the "pantheon" with the likes of The Sopranos or The Wire etc. (I know, it is a lonely position )

I liked Better Call Saul a bit more. It is heavy, and not necessarily in a good way, so while I'm glad I saw it and, going forward whenever I think about a crooked lawyer I'll think of Jimmy (eh, Saul), I don't see myself revisiting this.

Anyways, I write, because I can't be the only person that after finishing a series goes to YouTube to revisit his favorite scenes and take stock of others thoughts about it. And don't you love (not really) when you find that the general perception about a character wildly differs from yours? Me neither

So of course pretty much everyone seems to hate (strongly dislike?) Chuck. The definition of a complex character, but we can't have anyone telling the truth about our Jimmy (I know I know, I sound like Chuck ).

The whole BB prequelish elements were fine (Gus / Salamanca's / appearances by the big Breaking Bad guns), but what I'll take away with me will be this heartbreaking bitter portrayal of a brothers relationship.

I couldn't bring myself to watch the last episode until yesterday. I thought it was pretty good actually and at last Jimmy does the right thing. I think he could have helped Kim without burying himself but what the hell. Not what I was expecting but it wasn't awful.

It isn't legal but someone with in-depth knowledge of BB/BCS, editing skills and lots of free time need to make chronological order matchup of the two series. Would be an interesting way of revisiting both series, at least for me.
