Great season. They need to go from 10 to 13 episodes. It always seems to be over just like that. The finale will be an hour and twenty-five minutes, six minutes longer than this last one.

    “Jimmy, you’re always down.” OUCH

It does not look good for the German guy.

I wonder if the underrated Rhea Seehorn will ever get an award nomination?

I would hope so. She's had an intense storyline this season. The scene in which she rips Howard during the will dispersal meeting was epic.

          Ol' Jimmy McGill fooled me.

Great finale and obviously the beginning of the birth of a great character.

What a tremendous scene with Jimmy addressing the board, his brother's final letter in hand. I hate to admit it

I thought I recognized the guy that plays Lalo but most of his work has been in Mexico.

You knows it's a perfect ending to a season when you want another episode ASAP. Jimmy played everyone during those last scenes.

Tough category as he wasn't even nominated this year, but his chances should be improved.

Episodes like this finale is what makes Vince Gilligan so damn good. Finding a song like The Winner Takes It All, seeing how it relates to the various storylines, and then doing a serious meditation on the lyrics of said song. It explains so much of what makes Jimmy tick.

I don't wanna talk about things we've gone through
Though it's hurting me, now it's history
I've played all my cards and that's what you've done too
Nothing more to say, no more ace to play
                        The winner takes it all
The loser standing small beside the victory, that's her destiny
I was in your arms thinking I belonged there
I figured it made sense, building me a fence
Building me a home, thinking I'd be strong there
But I was a fool, playing by the rules
The gods may throw a dice, their minds as cold as ice
And someone way down here loses someone dear
The winner takes it all, the loser has to fall
It's simple and it's plain, why should I complain
But tell me, does she kiss like I used to kiss you
Does it feel the same when she calls your name
Somewhere deep inside you must know I miss you
But what can I say, rules must be obeyed
The judges will decide the likes of me abide
Spectators of the show always staying low

The game is on again, a lover or a friend
A big thing or a small, the winner takes it all
I don't wanna talk if it makes you feel sad
And I understand you've come to shake my hand
I apologize if it makes you feel bad seeing me so tense, no self confidence
That first one is Jimmy, through and through. And the episode did such a nice job hammering away at that point. When the young girl didn't get the scholarship it was just one more brick in Jimmy's wall. She was being held back in the same way Chuck held Jimmy back from the moment he caught Jimmy stealing from their father's store.

Chuck represents the rule of law, and following every rule rule, even as it laid waste to his life, driving his family away from him.

And the that second line, well, poor Verner. He broke the rules, and he was judged and punished. And Mike realized he was helpless cog in the system. A mere spectator in the that particular game, even though he still lost.

There is just so much to unpack from that episode and season. It was was so well done. So many moments drove Jimmy back into the dark side.

And Kim seems like she finally gets it. She was just a part of the con, nothing more, nothing less. For Jimmy, the world is there to be conned. After she was so moved by his final statement, to hear him calling the judges losers and suckers for being just as moved, it had to be a sledgehammer to her worldview.

And yeah, that was the perch moment for Jimmy to tell her who he really is, "It's all good, man," as he bounces down the hall to get his license back.

Of course, Michael McKean (Chuck) has some singing talent doing bits here and there as Lenny on Laverne and Shirley, and as the lead singer in the cult favorite This Is Spinal Tap although an argument could be made that his wife (Smallville's Annette O'Toole) is the better singer.

All good things are worth waiting for as it looks like season five will premiere VERY late in 2019 or 2020. Filming won't start until April of this year.

Caught season 4 on a website I found doing a search on Reddit. Video quality was better than I expected. I thought while good it wasn't up to the first 3 seasons. As far as I know the next season will be the last. Sad to see BB and BCS over. Some of the best stuff I have ever seen on the tube.
