    New Music Fridays

This is the thread to talk about your favorite new music releases every Friday.

    Today White Denim released Performance.

You know how sometimes you see a movie and realize that the trailer had all the best parts? That is what happened here after they released 3 of the 9 songs ahead of time. Magazin, Fine Slime, and It Might Get Dark are all fantastic tracks, but the rest of the album hasn't caught me the way those did. Still a decent listen front to back. 7/10

Interpol released Marauder today. This is a pretty standard album from them and is rather boring. 4/10.

I simply love Alice In Chains ''All I Am'' from Rainier Fog.

Retro post - If this thread had been up last week I would have recommended checking out the video for "Eating Food in the Shower" from Ninja Sex Party. Good stuff.

I'm not quite sure how to interpret Spotify's "New Release" pages.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I just want an area with new full albums. So much of what's in my "new!" playlist/radar or whatever are not new....at all. Barely have any idea what's new and what's not. And forget about knowing what genre things are.

There's so much wrong with Spotify, I just wonder who the hell designed this thing.

But yeah, I'll pay attention to this thread.

Still a couple Fridays away but I'm intrigued enough just by the title of the song "Johnny Cash" from Lenny Kravitz new album Raise Vibration to already want to give it a listen.

A great resource for new release information is AllMusic. Then go to Spotify to check them out. Another one is Metacritic.

I didn't get through Rainier Fog. They had their time for me, and today isn't it.

Looks like Eminem surprise dropped an album...ill be back later to say if it's any good or not but, yeah, unexpected start to Friday.

New Bun B album and a Curren$y tape as well, chill weekend ahead.

Alkaline Trio released a new album today - Is This Thing Cursed?. Used to be very into these guys. Nothing new here, if you like the band, you'll like this album. This gets a couple point bump for nostalgia reasons. 7/10

Wild Nothing - Indigo Some heavy 80s influence here. Very good work music, which is where I listened to it today. 6/10

Update: very mixed feelings on the Em album. It's his best work in a few years but I really hated most of the stuff he's put out recently so that isn't saying much. I think he goes for technicality over musicality, he's like 90/10 and I don't like his voice, makes it hard to listen to. He does have some great moments. Joyner ate Lucky You, so thanks for that. Curren$y's been most consistent since like 2009, I just had to check his age, had no idea dude was 37, doesn't miss.

I'll be looking to use Clutch's Hot Bottom Feeder as a walkup in an upcoming season in the Show. I only wish ZZ Top would cover this.

Elle King, easy to tell no doubt every bit Rob Schneiders daughter. It Girl on her new album raunchy like ya like it.
Also, I cant recall at the moment the name of it but the last song on the album was really good, though for a moment I thought it would veer into #MeToo territory but thankfully it didn't.

Madame X might be the best music one Ms. Ciccone has ever made. dont judge me

New album from The Raconteurs last week. Fantastic album. Immediately more enjoyable to me than the last Dead Weather album.

As for today new albums from The Black Keys (Let's Rock) and the second collaborative album from Madlib and Freddie Gibbs (Bandana).
