    Child's Play (Remake)

The film is being made by MGM and Orion Pictures and is being directed by Lars Klevberg, known for his work on Polariod. The screenplay is based on the original film and is being written by Tyler Burton Smith, co-writer of the Remedy video game Quantum Break. The film is being produced by Seth Graham-Smith and David Katzenberg, known for their work on producing the 2017 hit adaptation of Stephen King’s IT. Production on the film is currently underway in Vancouver, Canada

I love the original 3 movies. They use to terrify me as a child, but growing up, i just couldn't help watching them. No killer doll has a place in my heart like Chucky. The films after the original 3 really took a sharp turn.

Bridge of Chuck and Seed of Chucky were pretty bad, but I think at that point the series had gone beyond the horror genre into campy slasher-ville.

Curse of Chucky tried to correct course, but it's follow up Cult of Chucky was pretty bad. The big twist was somewhat idiotic in my opinion.

However a remake of the original, gearing towards suspense and horror could be amazing. I'm somewhat excited again regarding the franchise.

I don't know how I feel about this now. That trailer was implying quite heavily that this is more of a killer robot doll than a possessed serial killing doll. The fact that it's A.I. also seems to make me thing, it's not solely one Doll doing the mass murdering but probably multiple with some of the scenes of the people in the market.

There also appears to be another "Chucky" movie called Charles in the works for this year as well. I wonder how different each movie will be.

I just wished the Reboot handled the idea of the possessed Doll rather than an artificial killing machine.

'member Jason vs Freddy? Instead of a remake, I'd rather have Chucky vs Ted.

Well this is definitely a different take on the Chucky character. I like that it plays with the technology run amok theme. I'd like to see a little more of Chucky though. I'm sure there'll be a trailer that showcases him a bit.

I love the original, I don't know how I feel about this one after that more recent trailer. It truly just is technology running amok. Which we've seen in hundredths of movies already.

Kids these days just don't get soul possession like we did.

I just watched the full-trailer. I had only seen some clips.

Why would you create a toy that controls your home and car? So you're going to give a toy to your kid and watch them change the temperature in your home or turn your car on?

The only way this actually makes sense is if the hacker is controlling all of the company's products and not just Chucky. And while that makes logical sense, it also makes for a very stupid movie.

Enjoy. Lots of crap being made today.

Just watched the film, boy was it terrible. Felt devoid of a soul. For one, removing the horror element didn’t help. And it seems with the success of Stranger Things, everyone wants to create a movie with children fighting some sort of entity no believes actually exists.

Felt like I wasted my time watching the film.
