So....I wonder if Keith Olbermann still does his worst person of the week shtick somewhere because Bill Maher deserves it in spades. The guy basically badmouthed Stan lee then goes on a diatribe against comic book creators and fandom in general.

I've lost any respect I once had for Maher. He has long ago crossed the line from trenchant, honest criticism to outright bullying. He's no better than the people he castigates on a regular basis.

I know it doesn't always solve problems. But Maher needs to be punched in the mouth. The dude is so arrogant. The things he says and gets away with.

Don't know why Bill went down this road. Clearly, he couldn't contain his irritation thus his trolling impulses but this is a lose-lose situation. Much of his fan base are pot smoking millennials who read comics and watch superhero movies so I guess he's trying to talk them out of it.

          And Stan just died... ugh.

The thing with Bill is, he had NO problem being in one of those movies and getting that paycheck.

            So **** him.

Don't have a problem with Bill. He made a stupid point, it's getting the reaction he wants. Don't know why anyone who is a comic book fan would even read his opinion on the issue. Looked over it, read like every "hurr durr games/comics are for kids" argument I've ever heard. Just dumb. I'll never get people sharing and further promoting this ****.

Him taking a check to be in a movie has nothing to do with his point. I don't think he thinks Ted 2 is a particularly artistic venture either.

punching is too good for Maher. Brian (Griffin?) should have bit him when he had the chance.

Maher never learned the simple lesson just because you can do a thing doesnt necessarily mean you should

You make a good point so I apologize for shining a light on it. (I saw a video about the comments on YT) but it does signify a couple things:

                  1. Lack of respect for the dead.
                  2. Maher undercuts a lot of his message by being just as bad as others he bashes so really, what's the point of having this great message he spouts off every week? It seems to me that he will do anything to get a rise out of people.

Amen....you took the words right out of my mouth. I grew up on 70s Marvel, back when you could buy five comics for a dollar. The characters Stan Lee (and others at Marvel) created had a big impact on my childhood. It's part of the reason why I went into the commercial art field.

And when it came to diversity in comics, Marvel was ahead of its time.

                    RIP to The MAN

Pretty cool tribute at my local mall here in the Philippines. It’s amazing how huge his influence is in the world no matter how far it is.

                              That's pretty cool!

Malls in PH seem kinda classy as well based on what little I see there.
