However, recently my keys have started getting bad. the t button is 99% dead at this point(I tried popping it out to fix it, but that basically completely broke it as the key won't go back in and the rubber on the button has come off too, with the button sometimes just going off by itself. I can't even use it anymore).
I know a broken key seems like a stupid reason to pay a few hundred dollars for a new laptop, so if anyone can help me fix it, that might be a solution for me instead.
However, if I can't fix it, any suggestions on a new laptop? Everything from specs to brands I should be looking at. And when it comes to brand especially, any one I should stay away from?
I don't game on my laptop, use webcam, or even the speakers much (if I do watch videos, it'd usually be streaming things which goes on my tv). I basically just use it for internet browsing and programs like Word. Programs I have installed on it like anti virus, video converters and so on I hope I won't have to move on from if I get a new laptop since I've had these things since around 2011.
Just to get a sense of what I'd be upgrading from:
-Lenovo G560
-4GB RAM
-64bit OS (Windows 7)
-Intel Core i5 m480 processor
-500GB hard drive
-15.6" screen
So a new laptop would need to have at minimum 4GB of RAM,500GB hard drive, and a screen size around 15" too. I just want one that'd be fast, durable, and can do everything I need it to do. I originally got Lenovo since I didn't care about brand name (at the time I had never heard of Lenovo). I just wanted best laptop for the price, and I found Lenovo had similar if not better specs on their laptops for a cheaper price vs someone like HP, Acer and so on.
I'm hoping to not have to spend over $500 on a new one and preferably get it by the end of this year.
