    The Blacklist Starring James Spader

The show has a new Friday night timeslot, but the season six premiere will be tonight followed by episode #2 tomorrow (Friday) night.

I'm wondering if it's the swan song this season?

Normally, when you move a show to Friday nights, it's showing us they are putting a series/show out to pasture.

I mean I can understand if they want to end it, given the storyline and it seems there are only so many seasons it can go on. But man, I sure do love this show. I wish it would go one for awhile because its one of the few shows where you root for the "bad guy". Red is probably one of my favorite characters in television. Looking forward to this season.

My wife and I started watching this on Netflix. We’re hooked! I wasn’t aware it was still running new. Hopefully we don’t binge it too much and run out lol

The sister is annoying and bland but serves a purpose to bounce stuff off Liz who's keeping her workmates in the dark.

Wonder if the cop that caught Red will use the phone number?

Episode one was serviceable. Episode 2 was rockin'.

I figure Red had a way to "deactivate" it once he didn't take the offer.

So Red effectively releases Baldomero from prison setting him up to be killed by a feared rival-Couldn't that rival had gotten to Baldomero while he was in prison?

Creative episode having Keen present her own Blacklister. Also, that backseat seat belt cost-benefit anecdote sounded so good it is actually likely true.

I'm a bit perplexed by the RV scene, though. What exactly did Elizabeth do to "let [the Ethicist] die?" If they leave, he can stand up, grab the gun and do it himself. Was he simply stating that they could prevent that from happening, either by confiscating the gun or arresting him? I know they had to still get a name from him and that he wouldn't do it unless she gave it to him, and her accepting his cost-benefit analysis is his way of deeming the exchange to be valuable enough to give a name?

Outside of foreknowing his possession of a firearm or intention of using it on himself, I don't really see what she did more wrong in giving him the gun than... well... not giving him the gun (outside of receiving the name, that is).

That's what I got out of it. Didn't the cost-benefit analysis mostly hinge on Liz's value as an FBI agent versus a jailed Ethicist? If Liz arrested him he would tell the authorities what's up thus jeopardizing her career.

Two episodes this Friday. Will the twofer result in a free Red?

I thought they were two great episodes and loved the dynamics between Ressler and Lizzy.

It reminded me of the first season.

Agree on both counts but it also feels like the last season particularly with what happens next episode (in two weeks).

It was close, but probably did enough #s on Friday. Wonder if this changes the ending or not?
