Now that is what I call an episode. Exceeded my expectations by several miles.Comment

I lusted for a snow/night king 1 on 1 fight, and for about a minute I thought I was getting it, and then didnt but none the less, it was a great episode. Cant wait for next week.Comment

Great episode but I was expecting a conversation or something between Bran and the night king. I'm not let down with the ending but the fact that there has yet to be any motive revealed or who the night king is. Hope all of these questions get answered by the end of the series.Comment

I mean - they showed him be created, Bran told you what he wanted. This might be a case of everyone got too hyped about all the theories.
Great episode, though. Arya pulling off the same move she showed in her Brienne "spar session" was awesome.Comment

What do we say to the God of death? That was insane. Never would have guess that.

Bro........what a way to go about that ending. Right after she left I had a feeling it would be her. Man oh man what a freaking episode. Endgame and then this was almost too much for me this week lol.

Not sure what you mean or expect him to be.
They told the whole story on how he was created.
It is pretty cut and dry as to who is and where he came from.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: Game of Thrones: Season 8 (Final season)
I thought it was a good episodes but it was almost impossible to reach expectations imo. So much lore was left unaccounted for but that's understandable.-Rocky Balboa"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."Comment

Re: Game of Thrones: Season 8 (Final season)
I thought that was a sloppy episode and fell back into classic Fantasy Tropes.
So many about to die and......Boom! A friend comes out of nowhere and saves me. So un-GOT like.
The visual effects of the crazy amount of wights and how fast they where coming, to all of a sudden having enough room to fight some one at a time. This happened throughout the entire episode. Even as Arya snuck around the Library or whatever, it was like they just suddenly decided to chill instead of just overthrow the entire structure. the Wide Shot swarms just did not mix with the close up action.
The compression, darkness, and super fast close up cuts where super disorienting.
The Night King walking around like a UFC fighter, which was weird. Not sure how he let Arya get the jump on him like that. I mean, we having been building up to this fight since the first shot in the first episode and its like " Dang, my forsight stopped after I grabbed you".
It also feels like now, how can Cerseii and her Army compare to to the Night King? Even is she gets some damn elephants, how can that compare to NK army?
I am sure sure that they have some surprises left and I sorta hope we have some more White Walker stuff left, because it feels like all the lore was just blown.Last edited by DocHolliday; 04-29-2019, 10:35 AM.GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

Re: Game of Thrones: Season 8 (Final season)
Had some problematic parts, but overall a great episode. I haven’t been to a GOT subreddit in almost 2 years, figured I’d check it out. They’re not happy with it. Full meltdown mode over there lol

Re: Game of Thrones: Season 8 (Final season)
That was my issue, I didn't understand how Arya got the jump on him so relatively easily yet he sensed Jon well behind him earlier in the episode and turned to face him. I didn't mind how it ended although it seemed somewhat anticlimactic with how quickly the Night King was killed. A few other things I noticed, when Bran took over the crows flying by the Night King while he was in air, what was the purpose of that? When the wights were all standing in front of Winterfell why didn't they just obliterate them with fire from the dragons seeing as you can clearly see one in the distant background? How is it you know the Night King is coming for Bran and the only detail you leave is Theon and a bunch of nobodies to guard him knowing full well if you simply kill him the entire showdown ends? It might seem like I disliked the episode but I did enjoy it, just seemed like some sloppy areas that I wish were done differently.I thought that was a sloppy episode and fell back into classic Fantasy Tropes.
