    Internet connection reliability app?

I seem to be getting these intermittent hiccups in my internet connection, enough to disrupt an IP2IP online game too consistently. I'm wondering if there's an app out there that will keep track throughout the day where I could see if and when there are these lapses in service. I've already rebooted my modem and router. Also this is a direct connection through a network switch box (3Com) and I took that out of the equation and it still happened.

Yeah, it is in your modem event logs. Depending on your ISP, you as the customer might be able to see all the logs though, your ISP on their end though can. So I would call them. I had a problem with Comcast for a year straight. 3 modems, dozens of tech visits, until finally back in June, I finally got a hold of somebody on the regional chain who actually knew how to do their job. Turned out on their end, they had 2 accounts assigned to my modem. Once they fixed that, haven't had a problem with my internet since then.

So I would check your modem event logs. IF you don't see anything there, call your ISP.

I feel like my connection might be similar too.

Out of nowhere the connection drops but works fine again seconds later. Those speed tests all show a great connection.

I've asked my ISP and they said nothing's wrong. Might just give a new modem as a fake fix.

Part of me thinks it could simply be the house itself. Maybe the metals or something else occasionally ends up dampening the signals.

Turn off IPV6 and test it
          Try changing the DNS

My connection to Cisco VPN kept being dropped every 5 minutes or so. I had to turn off IPV6 and it instantly stopped. Unfortunately the providers still don't have it working properly.
