Exactly this. To a much lesser degree, but agreed. Mandolorian is on its own now (not totally), and that can be a good or bad thing. Favreau and Filoni got this IMO.

Mando still feels like the flagship show of live action Star Wars series right now. Obi Wan got his, Andor is getting his limited series, Ashoka is getting her story… but Mando is moving things forward. This series feels like the driver of the whole thing right now.

I have to imagine the Ahsoka show will be pretty pivotal in terms of moving things forward, maybe more so than Mando at this point.

Anywho, pretty good season finale but the season as a whole felt a bit disjointed and relatively weak compared to prior seasons. Still enjoyable though.

That Lizzo Jack Black episode was so terrible though. I loathed that episode. It added absolutely nothing to the storyline. It was just there. I wish the empire just destroyed that entire planet lol.

Last two episodes got it right though. And were pretty awesome which this series has done pretty damn well. They finish.

They finally released season 1 and 2 on blu-ray dvd. I seem to recall hearing a lot of talk originally they would never do that so as to encourage you to get Disney+. I guess ''never'' isn't as long as it sounds and doesn't last forever.

Haha, that dollar was too much for Disney to ignore. Buy physical when you can if it’s something you truly cherish. We’re starting to see digital services shuttered and people losing their digital collections. Surprise! It wasn’t yours, just borrowing.

That's one thing I hate about streaming. It's so much better and convenient, but you're not paying to own it.

There should be something like if you're a subscriber to the service, you can purchase dvd/Blu Ray versions of a show/movie for a lower than retail price.

Feels like with streaming it's actually easier to record/distribute shows/movies if you know where to go. Games though digital is worse for the consumer.

It's the reason I bought the disc version of ps5. Costs more but the money I've already saved buying games on sale/discount made it worth it

Streaming does not match the quality of a 4K HD Blue Ray......nope. Even so called 4K HD streams.

I love having the discs for all my favorite movies and shows that I know I will watch again and again and again.

I am also a High Fidelity Audiophile nut. I own 1000’s of CD’s and hundreds of vinyl records. Nothing matches the warmth of high quality 180 gram vinyl and high quality CD’s. Nothing.

I can’t stand streaming music. I avoid it at all costs. Obviously you can’t in most newer cars these days. But my 2018 Maxima SR has a Bose system with a CD player as well as my wife 2023 Murano. Thank god!!!!
