X-Men '97 is pretty damn legit. I loved the original series. This new one made Cyclops cooler in 30 minutes than the OG show did in it's entire run, and I'm a long time Cyclops "*****". I mean he's still a square *** square but he actually used his powers creatively and has some dog in him.


He, along with Storm, Rogue, Magneto, and Wolvie stood out to me but all are top notch. Morph's role in particular, within the team's fighting dynamic, was chef's kiss. It's clever how they are using him to showcase all our other favorite mutants and their powers since obviously the roster is limited. I found myself looking forward to who he'd change into next as well as being excited for his future character development.


The animation and design is crisp and the story is written really well, at least in the first two episodes. So much so I'm kind of worried about future changes now considering the show creator was canned a week before the premiere. Time will tell where the show goes but the first two episodes are damn near perfect and I've sat and watched them through 3 times so far.

I welcome the new Cyclops, he's gone to a new level with his powers. At least he's a not crying bitch like he was before calling out "Jean!!" I do like the touch that his glasses glow when he's pissed. I don't care what anyone else thinks, that super hero landing he did was dope.

Storm is a bad ***. Lightning the sand to make glass then make a tornado full of glass. That's so sick.

Beast with the dope play with the taking over the Sentinel. Man, i was geeking out on both episodes. Of course the Gambit, Wolverine, Morph fast ball play was amazing. Hope we get at least a couple of those a season.

Looking forward to a Gambit/Bishop combo too. Also, having Magneto be a leader is gonna be fun, nobody ****in with Magneto!

X-Men was and always be number 1 to me for super hero content and so glad this show has brought that back.

Madelyne Pryor though how about they gave her a full on anime magic girl transformation. That was so sick, I was grinning like an idiot. Much of this episode showed clear anime influences.

I was thinking/hoping they would let Storm head to the sewers and start the Morlock era for a little while but looks like Forge is come to save the day early.

Stray thought: Sinister needs a redesign, that is clear. His intro was so sick up until they revealed him as a cackling mustache twirler. He needs to be more...sinister.

The animation is so slick, there was more more power combo eye candy and I really dug the horror aspects. There is a lot that I'm leaving out because my thoughts are all over the place like bird ****. Really good show so far.

Holy ****. They are going beyond what I thought they could do with the X-men.

If they can do this with the cartoon and do the same with the movies, the MCU will be revived.

This last episode was so packed. Dialogue was great, the drama and damn the action.

Whew man, what a ride and there’s still more episodes.

They were spitting some bars this episode, I really hope they find the right replacement for the head writer that got fired because the writing is on point with this show.

The action is anime quality too. So good

The best episode of the season. That was award winning worthiness this episode. From Scott and the reporter, to Magneto and Rogue dancing in the air to the ending with Gambit and Rogue. It was just wow.

I rewatched it a couple times already. That was to me one of the best episode of anything Disney plus has produced.

Up there probably with some of the best Mandalorian episodes.

MCU can’t **** up X-men. They gotta do the movies right and it will be magic again.

Episode 6 was good. I was kind of shocked to see dude still alive though living on the other side of the universe. That lady sister calling the milky way galaxy the milky way ghetto was funny as hell. Seeing Storm being back to Storm was awesome. Even though I do find Storm lengthy screen times to be lack luster. I do appreciate the new look though, that mohawk wasn't it.

The black outfit w/ headdress is Storm's original look from the comics (1975-1983), BTW. Now if they could only put Wolverine back in his brown/tan uni from the 80s, it'd be nostalgia overload...

As someone who read the comics religiously for a decade before dropping them right before the original animated series began in '92, I'm really enjoying this revival. Also like the shoutouts to the wider Marvel universe, specifically

Yeah they knockin it out of the park with this show. Deathbird so damn sassy. The animation and voice work for the Adversary was superb, as was Storm's magic girl transformation and power exhibition. Classic Storm look too. You can give me more of that.
