Meh. Isn't anyone else sick of Hollywood congratulating themselves? Aren't the paydays good enough? I swear they give out more trophies than Little League seasons combined across the country.

Award shows are all about the PR - especially in movies, music, television, sports, etc. And the paydays are not good enough for at least 99% of the people in Hollywood. It's one of the reasons why so many leave: they've got to find a job that pays the bills.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Even though I felt Rock's performance was underwhelming for most of the season, I thought his performance in the last episode was great. If Rock receives an Emmy nomination, it will be because of the last episode and not of the entire season.

Yeah, God knows they don't get enough exposure /s. If paydays aren't good enough, then maybe they need to address that with their union. Otherwise, the conditions are known going in .... just like someone pursuing a pro sports career.

How about if we just disagree. (sorry, that phrase is one of my most dreaded to hear)

If Rock wins then... bleh. He'll get his 2-3 episodes submitted, and I think the name recognition and 1 episode will get him nominated. Finding a great second episode to secure a win... well... that probably got sucked away in the tornado.

But if I had to list the top 5 performances for the entire season, I wouldn't even have Rock on the list. Buckley (Oraetta), Huston (Odis), Olyphant (Deafy), Turman (Doctor Senator), and... I'm having a hard time for another one, but I'll go with Schwartzman (Josto).
