Re: Which Web Browser Do You Use?

Slowly the "ublock block" is happening on Chromium supported browsers, which I believe it also means Edge.

Firefox seems to be people's choice of browser if/when their Chrome extensions are gone.

It'll be interesting to see the shift in browser usage once everyone is forced to get rid of their ad blocking extensions on certain browsers. I definitely see a surge in Firefox usage.

I used to use Firefox before Chrome was a thing/became the main browser people used, might wind up going back to it.

I love the convenience of watching stuff on YouTube through my phone/stream to TV, but I often opt for streaming from my laptop to TV since the ad block works for that. It's ridiculous how many ads are present in YouTube videos, but even more annoying, the placement of ads in YouTube videos. The fact that ads can pop up in the middle of a sentence is ridiculous. Some things I watch on YouTube are actual episodes, press conferences/interviews or other things like that online. They have scheduled break moments, but even with that, you'll still have YouTube ads just playing in the middle of someone talking.

And don't get me started on trying to watch some 3 minute "DIY video" but forced to have a 15 second ad before the video and then another 15 second ad during the video when I'm just skipping ahead to see if this video is the right one I should follow.

Currently using Edge with uBlock Origin along with Privacy Badger, pretty smooth sailing...so far..lol
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

I used Firefox for many years, even after it stopped being the top browser, but switched to Chrome a few years ago.

Google provided another update which further makes it harder to block ads.

I just re enabled the extension since Chrome automatically disables it and it worked. Just make sure you don't agree to remove the extension (for now it's possible to reinstall it if you do some advanced workaround, but best to just keep the extension)

                    So much for that.

Latest Chrome update has blocked the workaround that people found for it. Doesn't seem possible to use the ad blocker anymore.

I'll still keep finding different workarounds, but the second it's impossible to use anymore, I'm switching to whatever is the most user friendly/ad blocking enabled browser.

This will be an interesting time for sure.

Internet explorer dominated for a while, then Firefox took over, then Chrome for the last decade or so, but Chrome could decline just as fast as IE if enough users make the jump because of the ad blocking blocker.

Using Brave. Not anything fancy or crazy, but it gets the job done quite nicely.

Been using Chrome for a good many years now after previously always using Explorer.
Still using Chrome on my home PC despite Microsofts attempts to ram Edge down my throat with all the randomly opening browser windows for some reason or auto-opening links in Edge despite me having Chrome as my default browser or changing settings so email links open in Edge even though Chrome is my default brower.

At work I've gone from Firefox to Chrome to Edge mainly due to issues mainly due to issues tha my company's web-based tools that we use to do our work have had with the other 2.
