Believer wasn't good, but sometimes I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt if they have a longer arc planned. Same goes for this new Strangers concept (doing a Chapters 1-3, which are a reboot in and of themselves). I've now invested my most two valuable resources in my life on these first chapters: my time and my money. It's unfortunate that it was wasted.

Which is why planning things beyond one or two movies is dumb. By far this is the most annoying and dumb thing about modern Hollywood.

Everything needing a 'shared universe' is probably a close second, IMO.

Well, it depends on how it's done. The nice thing about The Strangers is that all three chapters are already shot and ready to go. The question now becomes whether Chapters 2-3 come out in theaters or just on streaming. I think the first one made enough money to justify Ch. 2 being a theatrical release.

That Kevin Costner western film franchise (Horizon) was the same way with Chapter 2 already being finished, but they might axe the next couple of planned chapters.

Crazy world we live in to where somebody can have a different opinion huh..

IMO, Scream and Scream 2 were the best of the bunch, the later ones? Pretty bad IMO.

People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

Re: OS Official Horror Movie Thread

I saw In A Violent Nature and it was pretty good. Probably would've fallen asleep at a theater with all the slow in-between parts, but the gore was top notch for a small, indie movie.

If you like Slasher films or ones that are derivative of Friday The 13th (like Madman or Hatchet) then you'll enjoy it.

Also, watched this short, little 'no budget' Found Footage film on YouTube called Milk & Serial:

Not bad for a free 'movie' (the runtime is less than 90 minutes) on YouTube. I would recommend it if you like FF or movies about creepy killers (like Poughkeepsie Tapes).

Shudder is adding all of Rob Zombie's horror movies this year, interesting.

                          Finally watched Talk To Me.

Really well made supernatural horror film. The ending was not very satisfying....but the care you have for the characters is a testament to great acting and writing.

                          A solid 3 out of 5 stars.

We have Halloween coming up soon!!!!

Every year my wife and I do a 31 for 31 Horror watch. This is where we hand select 31 horror films to watch each evening together leading up to Halloween.

I will post my 31 for 31 list soon.
