4. Friday The 13th 2009
5. Friday The 13th The New Beginning
6. Friday The 13th Part VI Jason Lives
7. Friday The 13th Part VII The New Blood
8. Friday The 13th Part III

Turn in your "horror card" dude...lol
The first 4 are imo, the best ones, to me the Friday movies started falling apart when "zombie Jason" was introduced (part 6)
The worst ones (and ones I will never watch again) are (in no particular order)
1-Jason takes Manhatten
2-Jason X
3-The New Blood
4-Jason Lives
5-Jason Goes To Hell
I prefer The New Beginning and the 2008 remake far more than the 5 I listed.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

1. Jason Lives
2. The Final Chapter
3. Part III
4. 2009
5. Part 2
6. The New Blood
7. 1980
8. Jason Takes Manhattan
9. A New Beginning
10. Jason X
11. Jason Goes to Hell
12. FvJ
Jason Lives will always be #1 for me. Parts 3 and 4 will always occupy the next two spots, but the order can change.
The rest of the list is mostly determined by how I feel at that moment about the prospect of watching it right now.
FvJ will always be dead last because I can't stand Freddy.
1980 and A New Beginning are hurt tremendously by not having Jason as the antagonist. Similarly, JGTH is hurt by having actual Jason limited in his role.

Let’s be real once you get past parts 1 and 2 they are all “so bad it’s good” flicks and pure comedy. It comes down to kills and your favorite dumb characters lol.Now Playing on PS5:

While I know the importance of part three because that’s where he started donning the hockey mask……it’s not a fav of mine.

'Sack Head' Jason is pretty great to me, but I'm probably in the minority when it comes to that thinking. [emoji1]

Re: OS Official Horror Movie Thread
Just saw The Substance tonight. Gotta say it's one of the best critiques of Hollywood's obsession with youth, beauty, & the plastic surgery industry's explotation of women, but in the lens of an insane, gory, body horror flick.
It was like an 'Elevated Horror' movie take on a Troma film/script.
The third act was as bat**** crazy as Malignant and I mean that completely in a good way.

Re: OS Official Horror Movie Thread
It's still in its theatrical run, so check to see if it's in a theater in your area.
It'll probably be on VOD or out to rent/buy by the end of the month, but I don't have clue when it"ll be on streaming.

Re: OS Official Horror Movie Thread
Welp, the Substance, Smile 2 and The First Omen have to take second, third place, and fourth place (honorable mention to Late Night With The Devil) cause Nosferatu was absolutely fantastic.
I hope that Robert Eggers continues to dip his toe in Horror - even if they are 'period pieces' - because he's an incredible director. I thought The VVitch was amazing, but this movie surpasses it in every way conceivable.
I could give a **** about awards shows, but he deserves multiple nominations for these amazing film.

I look this up every few days, and it seems to be the same: available on Amazon Prime through Mubi. There is a 7-day trial so I might give that a shot.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: OS Official Horror Movie Thread
I saw Wolf Man yesterday. It was pretty good.
I electronically moved my seat back to its upright position once it really started picking up, and my heart kept a constant thump with two or three really great set pieces. From the jump, you could tell sound design was going to be the centerpiece of the theatrical experience (as well as one woman shouting at the screen in crucial moments, creating great overall engagement). I also got choked up once as well.
It certainly won't be living rent-free in my head, however, and although I had no real sense for where I thought the final act should go, I think the movie itself ran in circles a little senselessly till it finished.
I went into it blind, by the way.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
