    Router Help

Long story short, I suck with routers. Could someone help me optimize mine?

What exactly are you trying to optimize or fix?

It just feels slow. I can turn everything off and just try and use my phone, and it just feels bogged down.

Have you checked if it needs a software update? What model router is it and how old?

I guess I missed an important thing when asking this question. It is a Modem Router combo.

The firmware is up-to-date. It is a Netgear C6250. It is three months old.

Do you have a laptop or desktop that you can physical hardwire in with an ethernet cable and check the speeds not through the wifi?

What speed Internet do you pay for?
