Is it possible to get a refund on a game that only comes in download format? I would have rented it first and tried it, but that's not possible with a download only game. It's not like I can take it back to the store or exchange it for another game. I don't want to mention the game here because it's a sports game, but after paying for the game, downloading it, and playing it ....... it was just well below expectations and I have no desire to play it again.

On Xbox you can, I think they go by total playtime though. A friend of mine was able to get a full refund for WWE 2k20 after a similar experience.

Did they issue refunds for No Man's Sky upon release, like Steam did?

I don't think they have a set time frame like 14 days but I would imagine it closer to 7 and an hour. The wording on the xbox page is vague enough to let you know it's on a case by case basis. Highly doubt it's as favorable as steam.Comment
