Are you Afriad of the Dark?: Curse of the Shadows

Has anyone here seen this? It looks like all 4 episodes have premiered already. Two years ago they bought the show back with a 3 day special with a story of a haunted carnival, this year it’s about a shadow figure.

And I have to admit, I’m only 2 episodes in and I’m really enjoying it. The first episode actually gave me a nightmare and I love horror movies/shows. I haven’t had a nightmare after watching horror since I was like maybe 10 years old and I’m 33 years old now.

I feel like this specific season is a testament that you don’t need gore, sex and stupid characters to make a horror movie/show work. So far within the two episodes, the kids feel real. They’re not doing completely dumb stuff just to do it.

Don’t get me wrong it’s still a show in Nickelodeon but it’s working.

    Any thoughts!?

    Never realized they continued it.

I saw the one from a few years ago and that one was good. Different spin on the original which featured different stories every 30 minute episode (this and Goosebumps featured many child stars who ended up having big careers).

Yes it seems to be one big cohesive story instead of the usually short 30 min stories they did back in the old days. I’m really enjoying it.

Sucks the new season isn't available in Canada. Not sure why they're holding off on showing it.

Decided to watch this during this weekend.

Had lots of twists and was way darker than I would've thought for a show on Nick. Even a few not so PG jokes in it. Great story as a whole. Didn't know how they'd drag this out for 6 when the last one they did was just 3, but they found a way.

One part I loved was that they brought back
            Spoiler

I know Nick has the rights, but I think a yearly September/October Netflix like release with several episodes a year would be great for this series.
