    2021-2022 TV Season

Another TV season is coming to an end, hopefully this next one can start getting back to normal. Some shows I see their season premieres are scheduled slightly later than usual.

    ABC New Series:
Abbott Elementary, Maggie, Queens, Women of the Movement, The Wonder Years

    ABC Not Returning:
American Housewife, Call Your Mother, For Life, Mike Tyson: The Knockout, Mixed-ish, Rebel, Soul of a Nation

    CBS New Series:

The Activist, CSI Vegas, Come Dance With Me, FBI International, Ghosts, Good Sam, NCIS Hawaii, Smallwood

    CBS Not Returning:
All Rise, MacGyver, Manhunt Deadly Games, Mom, NCIS New Orleans, One Day at a Time, Star Trek: Discovery, The Unicorn

    CW New Series:
4400, All American Homecoming, Great Chocolate Showdown, Naomi, Would I Lie to You (UK/US)

    CW Not Returning:
Black Lightning, Bulletproof, Burden of Truth, Supergirl, Supernatural, Swamp Thing, Tell Me a Story, Trickster

    Fox New Series:
Alter Ego, The Big Leap, The Cleaning Lady, Domino Masters, Krapopolis, Monarch, Next Level Chef, Our Kind of People, Pivoting, Welcome to Flatch

    Fox Not Returning:
Bless the Harts, Cosmos Possible Worlds, Filthy Rich, Holmes Family Effect, Last Man Standing, Next, Prodigal Son

    NBC New Series:
Americas Got Talent Extreme, American Auto, American Song Contest, Grand Crew, Home Sweet Home, La Brea, LA Fire and Rescue, Law & Order For the Defense, Ordinary Joe, That's My Jam, The Thing About Pam, The Wheel

    NBC Not Returning:
Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Connecting, NHL on NBC, Superstore
Another TV season with even fewer shows I even watch.

Of all non sports stuff, I see probably 6 total shows I'm watching, which combine for about 4.5 hours (closer to 3.5 hours or so when you factor in commercials).

Technically Sunday is the busiest day for me, although who knows if celebrity wheel of fortune is airing all the time, and even then, I'm only watching when they have good celebs.

Glad to see Survivor finally return for the first time in about 16 months.

    Re: 2021-2022 TV Season

Summer wise, Big Brother is back on CBS as usual. After what we've seen 3 of the last 4 years, I'm going into this season with the lowest of expectations. Only positive is that they got rid of their casting person.

They have celeb family feud again this year, and based on the teams this time around, doesn't seem interesting to me. TikTok influencers, MTV shows among others.

CW with a slightly different schedule for now. Flash will be ending in July and Supergirls mid season break ends in August. I think Powerpuff Girls was supposed to air in the summer, but if you saw the rumored leaked script, you'll understand why it got rewritten (it's one of the cringiest scripts you can read, even for a CW show)

Holmes Family Effect. I like the old man the kid has no personality at all.

Don't know how the Frasier revival works without any of the main cast besides Kelsey Grammer but who knows? Grammer will also be in a comedy series costarring Alec Baldwin so he'll be a busy man.

This is why I never really got into watching television like I used to, because as soon as I start to watch one thing, it ends up getting cancelled.
          Last Movie Watched: Morbius (2022).
Last TV Show Watched: MARVEL's What If?...(S3:E7).

Not sure which thread this should go in, but I watched the first 4 episodes of the CW's Kung Fu.

For context, 5 minutes into the first episode I was asking myself "wth am I watching", but I really wanted this show to be good. So, I kept going. Unfortunately the fight choreography was bad, and each individual episode could have an entire Screen Rant - Pitch Meeting skit dedicated to it.

            Spoiler

Oh no, it's going to be super easy! Barely an inconvenience.
There are some aspects of the show that held potential, and so maybe I'll try to finish the season at some point. Those first 4 were painful though.

looks their showing a season 8 for 9 9 on nbc
Kenny: Ok Vic, I'm ready for some girl on girl action.
Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
              Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....
              Kenny: Everyone wins?!?!

              Captain Tenneal: Get it on!

I'll move the Jeopardy talk into here.

Mike Richards announced as the new full time host of Jeopardy. Some don't like the choice mainly because he was already an executive producer of the show (so it felt like they already knew who they were choosing beforehand).

But they also announced Mayim Bialik will be the host of primetime specials/spinoffs.

So I do believe what people have been saying. Richards was their choice before doing the whole guest host stuff. And the guest host stuff was just to find a host for those other shows, which they decided on Bialik for.

Heels starts this Sunday on Starz.

A wrestling show starring Stephen Amell (from Arrow). This should hopefully be real good.

Richards is a fantastic and the right choice. His resume speaks for itself. And he's got a great voice, a sharp and fluid speaker, and is witty. His hosting on Divided was the best. Excellent choice. And Bialik did a great job and is solid for "primetime" shows. Not sure I like the splitting of the roles just for brand uniformity but I guess nobody's Trebek anyway.

Most of the rest of the options were quite bad. Joe Buck actually did a really good job but he was never going to be the choice anyway.

Maybe Bialik becomes the main host and whoever was their "backup choice" if she said no ends up being that specials host?

Doesn't change anything anyway. Still correct. Was still the right choice. His resume did speak for itself. Too bad the show cowered to the manufactured outrage driven mostly by people who don't even watch the show on a nightly basis.

Won't be watching Jeopardy after Amodio loses.

I love it. I actually like Smurf. She’s a very good antagonist.

Surprised more people don’t watch it, lots of action and drama and J’s arc has been growing nicely. I didn’t know how I felt about him for the first season but I’m liking a lot now.
