It can be moved to the left.

Auto-HDR is pretty incredible on some games, no real issues after a couple days now on Windows 11. The settings UI is so much better, instead of the 'Windows 10'-ization of the old context menus... all the UI elements that have been updated are additive if anything, instead of over-streamlining things.

Windows 11 will work with android apps. That should be cool. Wonder how many people will utilize that for app games. At that point, that basically defeats purpose of having a tablet if you have a 2 in 1/touchscreen laptop.

Still on the fence about upgrading from 10 to 11. Want to try it out because it'll be that "shiny new toy", but might hold off until November to see if its worth it.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to retiring Bluestacks where possible. We'll see how well it works once that feature is available.

So apparently my PC is not compatible with Windows 11.

          I need a AMD Zen processor. Which I don't have. I have a 2600x.

Unless I buy a new computer I don't see myself transitioning to Windows 11 anytime soon.

Unless it's forced I could only see upgrading atm if it improves gaming performance a good bit.

                  That's good I guess

Although all these things they've announced for Windows 11, I'm not sure if there's really many pros or cons to upgrade. Just feels like a different looking OS.
I find it funny that they're doing away with Skype a few years after buying that platform. Everyone has moved to Discord if they wanted to talk to their friends.

Because Teams is their enterprise solution and works more and more as a collaborative tools platform. The tech behind Skype is likely better repurposed/leveraged there.

They have Teams now. They may have bought it to get patents or code for teams or user base to move to teams.

I can see this crashing a LOT of computers upon launch. They shouldnt have to force you to update though. It should be optional.

                            So...any first impressions?

Even though I have windows 10 and have been using it for a few years now, I did always prefer windows 7 for the most part.

Has the change between 11 and 10 been a very noticable one? Is it better? Worse? Or just different?

I hardly notice a difference other than the task bar and the icons I have pinned are now centered instead of aligned left. There's also a multiple desktop feature where I guess you can create different desktops with different applications open and go back and forth between them? So like if I was a kid I could see myself having my school desktop to show my parents I'm only doing school stuff with no games open and then switch to my personal desktop when they leave the room kind of thing...

I can't even get it because of some weird settings I apparently don't have.
