    Mayor of Kingstown

Anyone else start watching this. I think its great. I just hope they can keep it up. Also some people have been complaining on the Reddit for this show that they cant understand the "Lingo" my fix is just turn on the subtitles and youll have no problem. I hope some of you are watching this Im dying to talk about it with you guys. https://www.imdb.com/video/vi1637860..._=nv_sr_srsg_1

Thought about it then I saw that they are dealing with things such as "systemic racism". That made it a no go for me.

Looked forward to it and then saw the reviews that waned my enthusiasm but I might give it a shot; the non-professional critics liked it and I don’t know what the episode sample size was for the pros.

I'm just starting the fifth episode and I'm confused about the lengths that certain people and/or groups go to to achieve a desired result.

          Jeremy Renner's character,

brother and some others are at least in part motivated by doing for the good of the town but this symbiotic relationship between the incarcerated and the powers on the outside are not well explained. The relationship between Mike McClusky (Renner) and a drug kingpin (Bunny) working on the outside isn't authentic and is mostly cringeworthy.
Other than that I kind of like it (LOL). Let me add that the town of Kingstown contains FIVE PHYSICAL prisons. The show has yet to distinguish one from any other.

Watched the first episode and liked it. I usually don't like prison type shows but that's mostly out of my own fear.

                  .
Yeah the police really screwed that up and made matters worse for themselves. They allowed themselves to act out of vengeance instead of thinking it through ended up creating more of a headache for themselves.

My Aunt's a retired correctional officer in a pretty crappy part of Jersey, Camden. She always said the #1 driving principle there is leverage. It's all about who has and if you have it you run things, no matter what side of the bars you're on.

Some other unfortunate friends/family members confirmed it.
