That's a game winning move right there.

Jesse got Cody to give back the idol to him, played that idol for Owen (who he knew Karla was gonna vote for), which made Karla know the person she voted for is safe so she would play her idol. Then, Jesse gets Cody out.

So he doesn't have to give Cody the idol back since he used it, Cody can't go after Jesse because he's not in the game, and Karla's idol has been flushed.

And on top of that, Jesse has an idol that nobody knows about, so he's guaranteed final 4. I think Karla or Gabler is gone next time.

I think he's already won the jury vote, but his explanation at the next tribal when he can reveal that he did it because he has another idol will probably seal it, especially from Cody (though Cody doesn't seem bitter which is a good sign).

I hope Karla convinces everyone to vote out Jesse, and then Jesse plays his idol and votes out Karla. I don't have anything against Karla, but just since she has been at the top of the food chain for a while.

Based on everyone left, I could see the order of most to least likely to win being:

1. Jesse
2. Karla
3. Gabler
4. Owen
5. Cassidy

I'd rather see Owen or Gabler win over Karla, but I feel like she'd have a good story at the end.


Most underrated fact about Jesse, he has a shot at a perfect game (in Survivor terms, that means someone who got 0 votes against the entire season, and got all jury votes).

But even further, he still has a shot at a true perfect game (by my definition). Nobody in Survivor history has recieved 0 votes against, gotten all jury votes, AND voted out the correct person at every tribal they voted at.

JT and Cochran are the only Survivor Perfect games, and even they had tribals where they didn't vote for the person going home. To me, I'd view that more as a no hitter than perfect game.

Why in the world did Cody leave his idol with Jesse for this long? Not just that, he got it back to show Karla and then gave it back to him. My goodness. Played worse then they did Erik back in the day.

My top 3 was Karla, James, Cassidy. For most of the season i thought Cassidy was the clear 3rd but with a couple immunity wins and amongst the survivors she seems to be viewed as pretty strategic. I’m not sure she would be a throwaway in the F3; I think this jury respects her game and she could win if she makes it.

Owen is the clear choice left to take with you to a final, I don’t think anyone believes he’s controlled any of the game, only being a useful pawn in moves made by other people.

Gabler has a great pulse on the game, but he’s not controlling it per se. At least not in the outward ways that Jesse and Karla have. He always seems to know the vote, but I don’t know if he ever steers the vote. I like his game a lot, but up against Jesse, Karla or even Cassidy at this point? I can’t put him over them. He hasn’t done anything since dropping Elie’s name at the merge feast.

As big as Jesse’s move was, and his next one likely will be, if Karla makes it through, I’m not convinced Jesse is the surefire winner over her (or Cassidy at this point… I clearly have reached a turning point with her). He may have waited too long to come out from behind Cody’s shadow.

We’ll see how immunity plays out.

If I’m Karla, Cassidy, or Jesse… I want to have Gabler and Owen besides me at the final. Those 3 listed first all have a claim to the million IMO.

Sucks that the best player of the season didn't even make it to the end.

You could tell the jury was all in on voting for him too

Back to back seasons where the odds on fave to win ended up losing in the fire making challenge.

I wanted Owen to win, the F3 was so close, but you could tell Gabler won it at the end with the speeches.

When Gabler was crushing the fire challenge, I was thinking "i hope his beard doesn't catch fire". If I read right, that was the fasted fire challenge ever? Good on him

He was the fastest ever at making fire.

I believe James ruined Gablers perfect game? He never got a vote against him, and would've had all jury votes if not for James.

My wife and I bought though Gabler might get 0 votes. Then I said something about how he might talk his way into a few. After I said Gabler is going to win. Cass' last answer pretty much bombed her chances. I am surprised she didn't get a couple more votes.

I wish Jesse had waited to pull out his idol. Would have been even more of a shocker.

I also wonder if Owen had won immunity which would've given him 4 (more than Cassidy/Gabler combined) AND put himself to make fire and go on to beat Jesse, if that would've won him the game, or was he getting 0 votes regardless.

It seems like jury's couldn't care less about immunity wins.

It's also stupid that the jury expected Cass to put herself in the fire making. It didn't make sense for her to do it, but I'm sure she would have loved to looking back.

She would've lost.

It's easy to say someone should do that, but it she lost, you could argue that would be the worst move in Survivor history.

After seeing how bad Jesse's fire making skills was I'm not so sure about that. I know Gabler went fast, but that was a pitiful effort. Seems like it came down to Cass' lack of a "big move". Her getting exactly 1 more vote than Owen seems about right.
