    TV Throwdown: Friends vs Seinfeld

What, in your opinion, is the better show? Is it Friends or is it Seinfeld? Is it both? Do you hate both shows with such a passion that you'd rather watch The Voice on repeat?

This is the kind of question that I can use to filter individuals. Friends is ok, but you tell me that it is better than Seinfeld and that's strike against you in my book.

Loved both shows, have both compete series on Blu-ray, but Seinfeld by a country mile for me.

Seinfeld all day every day. It ranks up there with the best sitcoms ever.

Friends has probably elicited no more than 3 chuckles out of me from the, albeit few, episodes that I've forced myself to sit through.

Friends is fine, good to watch with girls and it was funny but no where in the Seinfeld realm. Almost all my gfs and sister loved Friends so I had no choice to watch it over and over.

One show I debated with my friends during that time was Seinfeld or Fraiser.

Fraiser is my all time favorite show. I guess I love the characters and the heart more because sometimes it annoyed me how much of aholes the characters were in Seinfeld. I know that’s what they were going for but maybe I just want that feel good lesson every once in awhile in a sitcom.

Never liked Friends. Seinfeld is without a doubt GOAT. Frasier might be the greatest spinoff ever.

Better Call Saul is up there for me but no doubt, clear number 1 spinoff is Fraiser

This one's tougher but I still have to go Seinfeld, mainly because it ended sooner?

A lot of episodes in the last couple seasons of Frasier feel like they just ran out of ideas. Still a lot of good scenes and lines in there, but as a whole they just don't hold up as well.

Friends is just a sitcom, Seinfeld is it's own unique thing. If you took away the laugh track Seinfeld would still be Seinfeld, while Friends would be like a car without gas in it. Friends also went down the clichéd road of marriage episodes, trying to have serious moments, and other dated things that I associate more with the basic sitcom formula. Seinfeld was just more ambitious and singular in how it reached success. It's no contest.

Tried to watch both shows but found them boring and not very funny at all...about the only thing I could stand from Seinfeld was Kramer, other than that? nothing at all.

In high school I had a few female teachers that really loved Friends to the point that the day before the shows aired, they didn't assign us homework because they didn't want to be grading papers on the night of the show. Personally I preferred Martin over both. Friends simply wasn't funny to me. Seinfield was ok out of the handful of episodes I watched.

I was thinking about comedies. BCS might just top Frasier so far as spinoffs go.

I've never seen Seinfeld so I am going to be unbiased and say Friends.

Than you never saw “The Opposite” or George’s defense against sex with the maid on his office desk. Tell me your name (Kramer5150) is a coincidence and not a salute to a character on a show you don’t like.

Actually my username is a nod to the late great King of the six string Eddie Van Halen, and is in no way shape or form from Seinfeld.

Actually thinking about it now, I had changed my name before he passed but it IS a nod to the man himself.
