Do you scan QR codes often?
Looking back, I think that 90% of the times when I've used my phone just to scan a QR code were related to some tech product or video games. But my exposure to them is far greater, since even clothing stores use them often (especially during Black Friday), and I also receive a lot of QR codes granting timed discounts on my socials, for a vast array of products...

Re: Do you scan QR codes often?
As a shopaholic who refuses to change, I do use QR codes a lot, yes. I'm also into graphic design, so I try to keep track of the latest tools. As a result, there are around dozen of YT or TikTok channels I check every day.
So, I'm no stranger to scanning the QR codes that linger in the corner of the screen and grabbing that 10% discount. Never used them for buying video games so far, but I'm a big fan of the loyalty program that a nearby TV store enforces (it includes scanning the QR codes they post on Fb) - just last month I snagged a sweet surround system from there, dirt cheap... -
Re: Do you scan QR codes often?
I can relate a lot there, QR codes totally infiltrated the digital marketing space in recent years. Now that you mention it, I also have scanned a few while watching YT (big AVGN fan here!). I like how some of them look different from the rest, it's fun when the pattern resembles or alludes to the product it was created to promote. And on that note - my niece just opened a tattoo place (she's an incredible artist, really) so maybe we should look into ways to create QR codes with goofier designs and post them everywhere
