This is purely a debt deal. AT&T bought them for $1 and the assumption of all their debt.

So it’s a failed model that led to this.

AT&T will also be fully out of the TV business by the end of next year.

    Private equity deal.

At&t didn't buy them, they are selling DTV at a huge loss. The private equity firm will be the new owner.

DTV won't be launching new satellites, so they have an EOL in a few years. Dish was going to launch a new satellite but will have to see what happens. Until high-speed internet reaches everywhere, there are plenty of people who rely on satellite TV but it's less and less with the costs being so high now.

Excuse me DTV bought it for a $1 and assumption of debt.

AT&T only has a 30% stake left in DTV and will be out completely soon.

Don’t jump to conclusions just yet. You may get better pricing and streaming choices.

            It’s a wait and see.
