Well, that is the new style of writing. Why can't you accept the fact that it has resorted to flashbacks? At least it keeps the show going. While Stewie beating up Brian is hilarious, it's a run-on... plain and simple. Flashbacks are always funny, and there's really no reason for them to let up.

Well, the new writing style sucks then and if the show doesn't get back on track soon, I'll stop watching. The flashbacks are okay, but when the show starts to rely on the flashbacks and lack a real story that drives the show, then it becomes less entertaining to me and more like a circus.

IMO the true circus was in the two songs in last night's episode. I understand what you want in terms of the story. We all do. The fact is, I think Macfarlane doesn't have enough to last that long. I certainly don't mind watching new episode after new episode, that's for sure. Perhaps if he stuck to one show, he could have taken some (and only some) of American Dad's humor and put it into Family Guy. The problem is that most of American Dad's humor is either too political or too extreme for FG. But now, Macfarlane's sure using a lot of nudity for the show, and it's something that I just really don't understand why he's doing it. Can people like Brady sue him for that kind of stuff, or...?

Why are you so offended by the nudity? It's pointless but I don't see why anyone would sue over it. He had to know what was in the episode before he signed on to do it so I doubt he cared.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Honestly, I don't see that much of a difference between this season and seasons past. I think some of you are exaggerating how bad it has gotten. It's not a bad show, it shouldn't even be considered to be taken off the air.

What's wrong with random funny skits? If it makes you laugh, isn't that all that matters? A show like FG was never meant to be story based, it was edgy and hilarious, and for the most part it still is.

As long as it makes me laugh, hysterically at that, it should stay on the air.

Didn't actually know that they signed to go on it, either. That's why I wasn't sure about it.

And don't worry, I'm not offended... it's just become a regular thing like flashbacks.

I'm pretty sure Tom Brady can't sue Family Guy. Pretty sure he signed a contract and had to know what was going to be done with his character. And if he didn't, well then he's a *******.

I think MacFarlane limited himself too much from the start of Family Guy. The only new material comes from MacFarlane's head. Its not like the Simpsons or American Dad even where pop culture is constantly used as a basis of creation. The characters in Family Guy haven't really evovled, except for Stewie and perhaps Brian, the rest have remained rather 2-D and haven't changed from the first episode. The relationships have remained almost exactly the same, except (again) for Stewie and Brian.

Again, I don't mind flashbacks, nudity, musical numbers, etc as long as they pertain to the story and are somewhat necessary and aren't thrown in just to try to grab some laughs because it was so random.

IMO the show has started to go down the tubes a bit, and although it's pretty funy still, I'm not clamoring to watch it every weekend.

That's how I feel about the show now. If I had to chose, I'd rather watch American Dad over Family Guy.

The show is really stupid. It's funny at times but it's more stupid than funny nowadays. I wish they would put futurama on instead of this crap.

unless of course the three knockdown rule was not in effect, which is often the case. don't really know which set of rules celebrity boxing uses, lol

If you really, really want stories and some funny scenes once in a while then Futurama's your show. If you want endless humor (which is funny most of the time) then Family Guy's your show. And personally I hate American Dad, IMO the characters SUCK but it's still funny at times.

                                With what point?

Futurama has brilliantly written scripts; you'd have to watch "The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings" and "Roswell That Ends Well" multiple times to pull everything out of the episode, like most of the eps...

Family Guy goes for the non-stop gutbusting laughs, but lately, it hasn't gotten them.

I'm going to guess you're disagreeing with the AD point, which I think I do too. Some of the characters are trash (Steve's band of friends is very weak) but it has had some good stories.
