Brian from the future came back in time to kill himself? The car did intentionally turn and charge at him the second Stewie left, so had to be setup. And who else would know he'd be alone by himself on the road at that moment than future Brian?

Sorta good point, I guess. Is the bottom one a two-door or a four-door? Do you think they would care about that consistency if that theory is true?

Anyway, I too questioned if it would have ended up mattering who killed him. I mean Stewie didn't do what was necessary to track the guy either. License plate, tire marks... whatever he normally would have done to avenge his best friend. So maybe they left it out for that very reason.

I think they set up the whole destroying the time machine thing as a way to end speculation of them reversing their decision.

Or they did it to really cause doubt in the fanbase and get them some attention until they eventually undo their decision somewhere down the line.

I saw the episode and I have to say that was just distasteful though the scene where he dies with the family around had a DALLAS Bobby Ewing death scene feel to it. (the episode titled Swan Song if anyone cares to know) The replacement just seems so aggressively bad and I got a "poochie" feel from it.

Seth wouldn't be out of work if Chris died. He does the voices of Brian and Peter and possibly more. It'd just mean a little less time in the recording studio.

If there's a different dynamic with Stewie here that works that would be one thing, but Stewie and Brian always worked perfectly. The beginning of the episode with them running from the Native Americans with guns and cars was classic, and only works because it's Brian and Stewie.

Hopefully Stewie can fix his time machine, revert back to before that moment (being that it's sudden, natural, and shocking), and everything that happens hereon out (prior to going back in time) is moot. Season finale, maybe?

Yea, the show had gotten to the point for me where 99% of the time if it was a show that focused on Brian and Stewie hanging out, I loved it, and if that wasn't a big focus, I hated it. Hope they bring him back somehow.

Show used to be my absolute favorite source of comedy in HS, stopped watching after awhile so I haven't seen a new episode in 2-3 years. Watched a few episodes again not long ago and laughed my *** off since I forgot most of it so I figured I'd eventually get around to watching some of the more recent season. Yeah don't think I will now hearing that news, just seems stupid and forced. Unfortunately doesn't sound like he'll be back unless their ratings plummet or it's all a ploy.

So far in the six episodes this season, only "A Fistful of Meg" has been an actually good one. It's more like episodes in recent seasons, but it's also the most I've laughed in an episode since "The Blind Side" in season 10.

I'm just going to miss Brian, man. It's unfortunate because like most new things we just have to reject it immediately, continually thinking: "I wish [insert name here] was there instead." We'll see what comes of it though, since he's probably going to be more outgoing with the guys, Cleveland included.

Actually, that's a good point. Stewie will probably hang out more with Cleveland's kids now.

I wonder when Clevelands family will officially be in Family Guy. They were there for Brians funeral, but I don't believe they've actually moved back yet?

Would be cool if Family Guy just mostly focused on Stewie,Rollo,Cleveland jr,Cleveland and Peter. All other characters I wouldn't care about

Concerning Brian, I feel like Quagmire. I don't think he stays dead though, it's just something to get people talking, which worked.
