Re: Welcome to the age of 59.99 games

    712.97$

That's at least how much (yes I worked in the tax) the Xbox 360 would be in Canada with 2 games if all this price speculation is true.

    and PS3 with 2 games...

    873.96$

    and together....

    1586.93$

That's not even counting any extras you might want. Everyone will be waiting for price drops here. They'll probably sell so little they won't bother shipping stuff to Canada anymore so there won't be a price drop.

In America, you could buy yourself a nice little car, buy a decent computer, get laid after a nice meal and a cool relax at the Sybaris, go to.....ya'll get my point. The $60 isn't bad, for some games but DAMN IT, I ain't paying for no crappy games like that. Ebay is the answer my friends. I will say this, I will be getting my basketball games. Hopefully they find something with the equivalency of HD Loader for these next-gen systems. Might take a few years, but I'll be willing to wait.

By the way, about the cardtridges, I never knew games were that expensive. Dang, I need to buy my parents something like a flower or a house. That's just crazy. How much info did the cardtriges hold and could they honestly hold more space than the current cds & dvds if they were continually worked with? I kind of skipped a generation of games. I got lost somewhere in the 90s.

Man, I remember when Phantasy 4 for the genesis was originally priced at $99.99. Anyone remember that one? As someone said before, the games will adjust prices according to consumer demand, if you rush out and buy games at a higher price, they will be higher. I think $50.00 is reasonable. Far too many games suck for a higher price to be accepted.

          Damn skippy.

No seriously, I dont believe in paying 50+ for a game anymore. I've wasted too much money going out and buying games for 50 bones that ended up sucking. I buy everything ethier after the price drops or pre-used. And thats after thorough research of the game. 50 bucks is to much to gamble with, let alone 60 bucks.

Re: Welcome to the age of 59.99 games

If they do end up being $60 I really don't have a problem with it. It's only $10 more than games now. If money is that much of an issue you just need to be selective about what games you buy. I used to buy every sports game but barely played half of them. Now I only buy games that I know I'll play.

Game length better increase by a lot too. I'm not paying 79.99$ for a 10 hour game.

                        STOP COMPLAINGING..

If you can afford 52.99$ for a game then you can fork over the extra 10$..

Get real people how many here have jobs? If so then you know you have to make a choice on what and what not to buy. I cant believe people are mad about this. EVER HEAR OF RENTING GAMES FIRST TO SEE IF YOU LIKE IT?

Rent the game first..If you like it then buy it instead of B******* that you spent 60$ for a game you dont like.

Yeah, when I was a lad and got an atari 2600 those games were $29.99. At a 3.5% real inflation factor, those games costs $81.32 so I think we can afford $59.99. The games now that I play like the sports games and war games have well over 50 hours of gaming fun in each of them. I can afford $1/hour for entertainment. Just chose your games wisely and you'll get your money's worth.
