    Could Killzone really be in-game?

Ok I saw this posted on IGN and they were talking about the things the trailer messed up... and they are things common from an in game demo....

    http://imageevent.com/reverend_heat/killzone?p=2&w=4&c=4&n=0&m=24&s=0&y=1&z=2&l=0

    Now look at this one....

    http://imageevent.com/reverend_heat/killzone?p=3&w=4&c=4&n=0&m=24&s=0&y=1&z=2&l=0

    A couple more....

    http://imageevent.com/reverend_heat/killzone?p=4&w=4&c=4&n=0&m=24&s=0&y=1&z=2&l=0

    and now.....

    http://imageevent.com/reverend_heat/killzone?p=5&w=4&c=4&n=0&m=24&s=0&y=1&z=2&l=0

Here are two videos that show things poping up as well....

    http://users.coditel.net/COD11731/kill.wmv

    and
    http://users.coditel.net/COD11731/teleport.wmv

My opinion is this is a mix of real and GCI but with Sony saying on g4 it's all real time in game who knows....

Straight from the horses mouth. Guerilla Killzone PS3 designer, Jan-Bart Van Beek

IGN: Is the Killzone sequence a fair example of what people can expect from realtime gameplay on PlayStation 3?

Jan-Bart: Yeah, it's basically a representation of the look and feel of the game we're trying to make.

Yeah I've seen that, but why would Sony be dumb enough to go on live tv and say it was real time... so many conflicting reports, and while I respect the killzone designer I wonder why Sony would come out and say it's real? It can only lead to a let down unless the team can do better than this... I've also heard that they did this on a cpu not as strong as what PS3 will be so who knows....

i hate that no one has given the SAME answer, we just get a run around answer about it being run on "specs" of the PS3, since the official hardware hasn't been handed out.

Sony did the same with the Gran Turismo series back when they launched the PS2. They had the crowd in awe, with what they said was "in game footage". Well, it turned out to be false. When I view a trailer of a FPS for the Xbox 360 or the PS3, if I don't see a HUD or crosshairs, I have no reason to believe that it's actual in-game footage.

i looked at the "demo" again and thought the same thing.. and why when the guy puts the rocket launcher up to his eye we don't actually zoom into the lens?

I'm not sure but I think that's how the rocket launcher was in the first one as well, no zoom in. Just a general zoom in to the end of the weapon.

They had an interview with a VP from Sony on that E3 Live show. He said the demo was actual gameplay footage. I still don't believe it.

they should of asked Bill Clinton ..

IGN: Is the Killzone sequence a fair example of what people can expect from realtime gameplay on PlayStation 3?

Bill Clinton : It depends on what your definition of the word "is" is .

We are never gonna get a straight answer on this one. I think the scene was so tightly put together , there is no way that was real.. I think the goal was to steal some thunder from the 360 and it worked!

Ironically, not out of my thought process for what Sony "would" do in that situation. That wasn't something unexpected cause Microsoft is looking better everyday. I hate to be negative but wasn't this the stuff that so many people were complaining about with the first PS2? The lies and false hopes of such a great thing? Yeah, my question is did they do that on purpose? Oh, who was intereviewing. If you say that it was G4, I'm heading to the site to compare interviews cause they cut up Allard and mess for no apparent reason. Real-time graphics....that crap just turns me off.

There you have it, it was a movie, NOT actual gameplay.

The interviewer wasn't Sessler, it was the other skinny guy. I don't think he grilled him as hard as Adam grilled J Allard, but see for yourself. They also didn't talk much about the online portion of PS2. He said they didn't want to "force feed" a Live-like system onto consumers.

Does anyone see what was wrong with G4 now? For some reason, the animosity is so deep. One thing that we have to understand is that someone puts these people on their respective interviews knowing exactly what type of interview will happen. Sony clearly lied about a game and came up short with their online this year possibly (no real answer was it?) and yet, Allard was the one who got grilled. No lying, no gimmicks, just pure love for the game. That's why G4 is where they're at now in my mind.

Allard got grilled because MS kinda lied, or "over-hyped" with the MTV thing, commercials, TRL announcements etc. just to show us 1/3 finished games. I think like most people they were expecting to see alteast a near complete game, thinking they prepped for E3, like Sony did. When in actuallity, they are prepping for LAUNCH. Yesterday they cut MS and the 360 some slack, they played Full Auto, and seemed to love it. They talked about Dead Rising, and didn't bash it, so w/o actually retracting their story, they accepted the 360.
