The only thing the observer might have failed to realize is that he is comparing 50 years from now of computer technology to the understanding of the brain today. Will it be possible to develop a machine more powerful than the brain? Definitely. But, if technology continues to improve at its rampant pace then computer technology will continue to lag behind the understanding of the brain until the full capabilities of the brain are discovered.
