I would think the map would matter too - you aren't gonna use a scout/sniper on Radec, for example - unless he is just there to spot/mark. Pyrrus on the other hand....
I think they could all be useful, save one - saboteur. With four man squads and the ability to identify your mates on the radar, it's gonna be obvious if a spy tries to get near the group.
And then there's custom badges, which we haven't even touched on. Tactitian with med packs? (sacrificing the flybot of course)Comment

Tactitian is a definite must for the spawn grenades. Engineer might be good for repairing equipment, but I don't think organized teams will get thwarted too often by turrets. Medic seems helpful, especially if they have the med pack secondary - with spawn grenades the revive ability gets less useful though. Haven't really used assault much, but I've definitely seen that !@#@!##@$ boost in action.
